My braidlocs are almost 2 years old! This update is a special one because my locs have changed so much. I explain products I use on my microlocs, styling, hair color on microlocs, and give you the tea on buildup, lint, and cleansing. Tune in!

มุมมอง 15K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey my pretty friends! This is a new channel that will dive into my self love journey, and my GLOW UP as a mama of four, wife and entrepreneur. I'll be sharing the many parts of this journey including my locs, inner and outer beauty, my fitness journey, travel, eating, fashion and other things I love. My locs are about 6 months old, and were started with braids. For more info on my wash routine...
Hey ma'am!! Can we get an update?? Thank you
can we get an update please ?😍
Very nice locs!
Wow we have very similar hair! ❤
Cute! Just got braids in and about 95% sure I’m keeping them in :) do you palm roll to retighten?
Loveeeee your hair and curly needs. Looks like mine!
I've been trying to find someone who started with braids for their microlocs who have had it for like 6 or more years, i wanna see how it looks. Like can u still see the plaits or are they gone and how long does it take to loc up.
From what I see, it depends on your hair texture. Mine will probably still have a braid pattern lol. I'm filming an update this week
Beautiful!
How may locs do u have?
In a previous video I wanna say I remember her saying her count was in the 360s.
yep!
Hey, girl!! I'm almost 9 mth braid loc. My hair is still strunken up on my shoulders. Still have a lof braid pattern as well. A lot of my hair locd not all of it. 🤣 I love your locs! Stunning!!! 💖💖
They're coming right along! Mine still aren't fully loc'd lol thank you!
Your hair looks great. I’m LOC’D too and loving the journey. This is my 18th month. 🎉

Beautiful hair, hair twin! For now, anyway. My hair is 7 months loccd (326 braidlocs!!) but looks a lot like yours does (mine is shorter and the color is different, but the look of them is the same). I wonder what mine will be like at 2 years. Thank you for sharing! 💜💜
Hey hair twin! I'm at 2.5 years now and I'm going to film n update so you can see how they look
BEAUTIFUL hair.
thank you!
Soo beautiful, just started my micro braid locs a month ago ♥
Wonderful!
Thank you so much!!! Video on how you maintained your curly ends? 😊
I just wash and lightly moisturizer! I don't have a routine for then, my hair is just pretty curly
Beautiful 😍 braid locs!! I’m 35 months Sisterloc’d and loving my journey. I want to self Retie but I haven’t gotten the nerve. It will save a lot of money my Retie price went up from $120 to $140 plus tip without a wash and style!!
35 months! That's awesome! The cost is definitely high for professional maintenance

Your hair still looks really good. I got impatient with my 2 month old braidlocs and took each one down and interlocked it. It took forever! 😩
I've been doing one at a time every once in a while and I can't imagine doing my whole head 😆 I'm sure your hair is so beautiful!
Hey girl hey from another braidloc sister 😊
Heyy!
Your hair is beautiful
thank you!
Why you use conditioner it's not for loc
depending on your hair, you can use a light conditioner if you rinse out completely. I use it pretty rarely, but it works for my hair
Gorgeous hair! I saw your video when you first installed and was wondering how your journey was going. This is inspirational. I’ve been thinking of diy braidlocs for almost a year now but I do wonder how much the braided pattern might bother me. But again, this is inspirational because your hair is gorgeous, braid pattern and all!
Thank you! Yes, this type of loc is so unique, and the challenges are, too. Still loving them!
Im 4 mos in the top is so frizzy im not sure how to feel about it lol im definitely trying to just let it do its thing and leave them alone . Like you said they look like raggedy braids to me 😂 i dont look put together.
Definitely the hardest braidloc phase! I just kept doing braidouts and that helps so much
Gorgeous set of locs I colored mine which I think that helped the to loc quicker, some of my tips are curly, but the shaft don’t have a braid pattern
I think it does help, because the hair is more porous. Your hair is so pretty!
I would like to color mines however I was told that you must wait at least a couple of yrs for your locs to mature.@@justameera7137
@@anyaphillips5417I colored before my locs, but ppl do both. I would be careful!
I am 11 months Loc’d

Hair twin! I love your locs! I installed my braidlocs this week and as of right now they look a lot like yours, except they are gray. Brand new though, so who knows what they will look like in six months! I need to count mine. I think they are around 300 but I am not sure of the count.
That's crazy that you deal with unraveling. I assumed that would only happen with coils or twists. But when I installed mini braids, I had the braid in the exact same spot as you, slip almost to the end.
2 weeks isn't often for baby locs. You should still be washing your hair normally. You need to keep your hair healthy/scalp clean. Water also helps the locing process.
I am 7 months LOC’D
Here watching and listening
Any more updates
Thank you I’m starting today with a braid loc!
I started my love at a salon like you did! Love your hair! Looks beautiful! How do you prevent slippage though? I have the same issue!
Your hair is everything 😍
Did you say that you were in Tanzania? That's great. I wanted to visit that country. Your locs look good. I have 239 locs. I have thought about taking down some of my locks to get at least 300 locs but I think I am too far in. I am in my 8th month.
Your braids are so beautiful! I feel you about going in and increasing your loc count. I started my micro braidlocs in November 202, but I've split up so many of them, I have no idea how many I have now. Braidlocs are so neat! The frizz just doesn't show up as much as with other loc methods. Braidlocs are so neat and professional-looking. Thanks for sharing your journey! 🤗
Same! I love that we're on this journey together. I was nervous about starting with braids but I literally got everything I needed, and apparently they have a better foundation than twists. Thanks for watching!
Hello sis((= your locs are really flourishing congratulations on your 6 months!!!!((= that is sooo true about life changing when you start to have a family lol, I'm really looking forward to your channel, I use to watch your videos for mini braids when I was a loose natural!!!(= it is definitely not for the faint of heart lol, needless to say, I locked my hair and I will be 4 months on the 17th(((= its so beautiful too see this journey you are on(((= blessings to you and your family(((=
