I Really enjoyed your experimental stuff, thank you for sharing. How do you format a long-form song like this on the SP404? It sounds like some of the patterns may repeat. How you playing these samples out and creating something organic or is more or less doing sequences and effects live but the song is playing in a pre-determined order?

dope idea. i have a separate field recorder & mic set up (pcm-m10 & clippys), & i love the sp404. this may not be something i do, but this is my favorite thing about the sp404 community: thinking outside the box & finding incredible ways that fits their use case.

The microphone capsules of field recorders are not the same thing as a conventional mike. The only resemblance of the SP 404 to field recorders is that it is portable and can use batteries

I am a little terrified of bringing my SP-404 outside since the pots are pcb mounted... One wrong move and I would be crying sad sad tears. But this method is way more immediate than what I end up doing, which is take my zoom recorder out to get sounds, upload to my computer, trim, take the card out of my SP-404, put the new recording onto the SP-404 card, put it back... the more I think about it the better your method is looking

since sp404 has no phantom 48 volt which needed to power up the condenser mic, the other alternative maybe by using 'self powered condenser mic' even with only using 1.5 volt battery..
