This woulda been a very competitive fight if his corner didn’t tel him to run the whole fight like they was scared of teo’s power. Ortiz fought an outstanding fight against loma. Like a good southpaw Ortiz wheeling to his right for the majority of his movements after he lands. Lopez over relying on his counter right instead of using his counter left hooks. He missing the counter opportunities cuz he carrying his left too low, which makes it too slow. How does his father miss that??? Also how are u not prepared to cut off Ortiz movements to his right when u had a full camp to prepare AND after the crap performance vs the southpaw from Spain! The same mistakes over and over again. Once the chink gets exposed it’s on the whole team to fix that and they failed miserably. Easy to evade a one handed fighter! Ortiz was open for the check hook counter all night cuz he carried his lead right a bit low on the way out of the pocket. Crazy how this fight played out. Lopez stock has crashed badly. Gotta be able to hit the trigger fast while your hands up. Couldn’t close distance with any speed cuz he wasn’t cutting the proper angle of attack. Half step behind all night. Very bad habits led to embarrassing performance.
