I was on a volunteer fire department when I was a teenager, the first fire I ever fought I rode to the fire on the tailboard. I am sure the bar across the back hand dents from where I was holding on so tight . . . Video brought back lots of memories of long coats and knee boots

Looks like he forgot to put the drain plug in. That water is pretty cold there so he was wise to not try to swim to the shore. Rescue crew did a great job of getting him out. Good job on the video Craig!

This is my parents property. I was almost 3 years old and to this day remember seeing a couple of my Dad's muscle cars being consumed in the fire 😢😢😢

So now I will be looking to see if there are Videos from those locations as well. I was trying to start a livestream You Tube channel in Downingtown. It just didn't get very far other than about 4 or 5 videos on my channel LOL.

So I have commented on your videos before. I didn't move to PA until 2003 but I did live in 5 places until I moved to SC 2 months ago. 1st Goshen Valley on Eagle Rd, 2nd was Golf Club in L11 ( condo), 3rd was Bianca Circle in Marchwood Estates, 4th and back to the Dub C at Rose Hill Apts Apt C1. And the last Place before I retired was on Washington Ave in Downingtown next door to Sami's Pizza ( he was my landlord). Now I'm in a small rural town and never even hear a siren but when I do it is concerning because there is a good possibility that it could be for a family member. I miss all the people I met in PA . My son still lives there in Chester County

So glad I found this! I was a brand new 'news man' at WCHE at the time and went out for the press conference at the Cochranville fire station and then managed to get down to the fire to observer and radio in a live broadcast form there. It was a sight to see. Can somebody say where exactly it was? address or cross streets? I'd love to check it out on a map...

What year was this originally shot in? I'm looking for visual clues (fire apparatus, civilian clothes, hair styles, vehicles etc.) but I can't place the decade. Otherwise this was a very good video for Laura's first time using a camcorder. The footage is well focused on the subject (the fire), there's no rapid panning, there's very little to no shakiness even on zoom, and there's very appropriate angles. I'm impressed for a first time shooting video with the camcorder. Keep up the excellent work as a backup (and hopefully now solo) fire buffing videographer Laura. Kudos!

When I seen the title I went oh boy. Metal polishing and cleaning company, who knows what's stored in there. GLAD TO SEE IT DIDN'T HEAD SOUTH.

Great video Craig! I drove across the 76 bridge around 1:00pm today and the water was creeping into the campsites on the south side. Looks like it went up a bit since then in the video you got. NOAA forecast for both Beaver and Bull Creek is peaking at over 15 ft at 8:00 pm tonight!

I will never forget this day. I adopted a new dog in Rogersville and this thing chased me down highway 65. When I pulled into the apartment complex in Branson I looked behind me and saw the storm and sideways lightning and knew it would be bad! Anyway, happy 6 year anniversary to my sweet pup!

Where was the original firehouse located? I’ve seen the new one built in the early 2000’s on union st. I’d love to drive through town and see what’s there now.

I helped on several of these accidents and if there is not a danger of the fire spreading it’s better to let it burn out as soon as you put the fire out there is a big chance of an explosion

Awesome memories, back when every piece of Aparatus had a 2 stroke Detroit Diesel Engine. When I was a kid in the early 80s I remember them always tailboarding to a fire amd being able to hear the 2 stroke detroit over the federal Q.
