The longevity and consistency is amazing. Many top golfers are just guys that played well for a few years. Imagine Nicklaus with modern equipment, a launch monitor and personal trainer. My feeling is he would have had a few rough years in the early 2000s but would be leading after that.

As a PGA of America member I have an opinion. Tiger is great no doubt. Here's the fact Jack won 90 percent of his majors tee to green Tiger won 75 percent with short game and putting. Nicklaus never hardly ever hit it crooked

No contest...it's Jack. Jack won 18 majors (it's all about the majors), so he has Tiger there who has 15, but he came in 2nd 19 times!!! and 3rd 8 times!!! Tigers had no where near that number of 2nd and 3rd place finishes. If it wasn't for one other person in each of those 2nd place finishes in the majors Jack would have 37 majors. A feat that would have never been reached-EVER!! ALSO...consider the level of competition Jack was up against. He played against LEGENDS...LEGENDS...the likes of Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, and Tom Watson. Those 4 right there won a combined 30 majors. The best 4 Tiger went up against won a combined 13. Last but not least, look at the equipment advantage Tiger had. Jack played with unforgiving equipment...wood woods. The Persimmon wood drivers were about only 175 cc in size with sweet spots the size of a dime, and steel shafts. The irons were like butter knives on a stick. No heel/toe weighting, no titanium, zero forgiveness. And the balls were wound balata balls that cut easily and spun like crazy way left and way right when mishit---way more than today's balls. If you know anything about golf history, it's no contest. Tiger was great, but Jack is the G.O.A.T.

John had more opportunities than most golfers but never had the discipline a great number of golfers but he always bit the hand that fed him. I like John and wish him the very best, but in my humble opinion,he was his own worst enemy.

I know Tiger hasn't had a chance yet, but Jack's Seniors record is superb as well. In his first 2 Senior seasons Jack won 5 (of a possible 8) majors, accumulated the Senior Grand Slam, before ultimately winning 8 Senior Major championships - and he never missed a cut in them until his sixties. I cannot see Tiger matching that! Also, Jack was a good family man with solid, down-to-earth values - and that counts for a lot in my reckoning.

He may be exaggerating a 2.8 but id give him at least a 15 maybe 10. But hes definitely solid. That break 50 with Bryson showcased some definite talent. Hes a little sloppy but on a really good week where hes just on fire i could see him shooting a 2.8. It may have been his lowest handicap at one point. I wouldnt doubt that. If hes this good now imagine how good he wouldve been back in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s when he'd be more physically capable. Hed be fairly good with that ability.

Jack was built to play golf the way Wilt Chamberlain was built to play basketball. Jack had eyesight like Ted Williams, a high IQ, a 35-inch sleeve length, incredible natural strength and legs like tree trunks. In addition, he was all state honorable mention as a shooting guard in basketball in Ohio. Jack's vertical golf swing made him highly consistent with the longest clubs in the bag. He won the long drive competition at the PGA in 1983 with a drive of 341 yards using old fashioned equipment. He putted well enough to win at Augusta six times. He rarely practiced his short game. Jack was obsessed with majors 8 weeks a year and his family 44 weeks a year. This is the reason he started designing golf courses at the age of 29. Chi Chi Rodriguez said that Jack was a legend in his part time. Tiger on the other hand is very smart and has great fine motor skills, but he was physically fragile even before the car accident. Tiger had his eyes lasered twice, had four back surgeries and four knee operations before the car accident. Tiger is bionic and would not have been able to play at a high level if he had been born in 1940 because medicine was in the dark ages relative to today. If Jack had been born in 1976 and spent the amount of time that Tiger spent practicing, it would have been no better than a push for Tiger against Jack.

I play a lot of golf. You could say I'm obsessed. I play between 50 and 75 rounds per year. I have always been athletic and am blessed with good eye-hand coordination. I have two perfect games in bowling. I have two holes-in-one and have broken par for 18 holes a few times. I played semi-pro fastpitch softball when I was younger. I have given up all sports and pretty much just play golf. I play a lot of 9-hole matches in some golf leagues and have had at least a dozen "under par" nines (lower than 36 strokes for 9 holes). I am not a professional golfer, however my current "handicap Index," is about a 4.0. This index is based on the PGA's GHIN handicap system and attempts to "level the playing field" with extra strokes for lower skill level players to compete with higher skill lever players. Without getting too much into the formula of that index (See the PGA GHIN Handicap System). This number represents not a golfer's average score, but instead more of a "potential." In order to be a "Single Digit" handicapper, certain aspects of one's game matter more than others. First of all, there are very, very few single digit players who have a bad short game. This means low handicap players can chip and putt and they are good inside of 100 yards. Watch Trump's putting and his short game. There are plenty of examples of Trump online where he lays the sod over the ball around the green and his putting stroke is simply awful. There is no way on this planet, based on what I have seen with my own eyes, that Trump has the short game to be anywhere near a single digit player. Drive for show, putt for dough. Watch golf and see the wizardry those pros have around the green. I go to the range and spend hours chipping and putting, because that's how you shoot lower scores. You don't do it banging driver 300 yards. I play with a lot of people and from what I see, his handicap is probably between a 15 and a 20. That is not a bad handicap. I bet he can break 90. If he makes some putts and keeps it out of the water and the bunkers, and he counts all of his strokes, maybe he can break 80. That's 8 over par. There is no way, in my humble opinion, he is winning any club championships against the "non-senior" players. I live here in Palm Beach County Florida, and the Bermuda Grass around the greens is unforgiving, especially if you have to chip into the grain. Even the pros have a tough time with it. No way Jose, Trump is not a 2.8. If he is, I'll eat my hat.
