I've been haulin a cello since I was in fourth grade and now I haul my son and his cello around. I love any music that involves a cello, rock, classical, metal, or by itself. Makes no difference to me!

Michael Farnsworth: Great song and great A cappella choir. I was an a cappella at Mesa High 1963-1965 directed by Mr. Hendrix
we just got this and we are middle school and i play i play the viola
ehhh me too!
I'm playing this in first violin and OMG my fingers killed after we first sight read it.
Great memories of MHS. I was in A Capella 68-70 under Harry S. Garrett. Many fun times in choir, as well as orchestra and band. I was the drum major my senior year. I went on to teach band and choir myself in AZ and UT. Occasionally I meet someone up here in northern UT from Mesa High. My mother was a classmate of Zedo Ishikawa, the mortally wounded football star who coined the phrase "Carry On." Keep up the strong MHS traditions!
don't be so mean!
just got back from jr.districts today, and we played this at salem middle school in va beach va, we rocked!
YOUR A COPYCAT!
Thank you kittycall12. This is not a competition. What I would like for people to understand is that this is music. Look how everyone of these students are swaying to their performance. These students were feeling what they were performing. Thank you!!!!!!! You are awesome.
Your orchestra can be awesome and even better. It takes everyone of you to work hard and listen to your conductor. Most of all, if everyone has their heart into what they are performing, and practice(!), you would be surprised how awesome your orchestra will perform. Check out the video I uploaded, Khachaturian Masquerade. This video shows how everyone is flowing with the music. They feel it. They practiced hard for this one.
Actually, jefferson is one of the worst schools in Northside ISD. Next to Rutter, I couldn't find any school worse. And you saying you won UIL with this song is such a lie; no judge would ever find this song hard enough to even consider. So don't try it this time, maybe next time play a grade 5 and you could have a chance. Not that it will happen, though.
What on earth are they doing when they spicatto? They turned there bows around and played too fast. Burns Middle school is best out there for Middle school btw
OMFG EVERYONE STFU ABOUT IF YOUR SCHOOLS ARE F'IN BETTER! GOD its fukin music that that person wanted to post! Let them post it and we dont want to hear about the sh!t bout your schools.
Tradition states that the stomp is supposed to happen during the second pause!
WRONG NOLAN RICHARDSON MIDDLE SCHOOL in el paso texas is WAY better we played this song in contest and we got FIRST place and beat everybody
This is not about who does it better....OMG, this was only posted for those who were unable to make the performance......I am glad a middle school wone UIL, whatever that is, but WooooHoooo for Jefferson Middle School.
I would have been a 1985 graduate of Mesa high but was sent to ND in the beginning of the second semester of that year! You see back then kids HAD to listen to their parents no matter what and we did not have any say what so ever! I LOVED Mesa High! and Mesa Jr. too! It was so sad leaving all my friends to be forced to go to a tiny little country school where everyone talked about you and made your life a living hell!!!! I sure do miss my time there in Mesa ,we we had SOOOO much fun! CARRY ON!
played this in 7th grade now im in 9th grade and i still cant get over it<3 i still have the music sheet<3 i play the bass<3 and im a chick <3
lol im a bass player and my 7th grade class has this piece. hope we do well
You must admit the spirits fine, for we're the class of '79 Carry on Mesa High!!!!
we played this...it was fun
Thank you for posting it. That was a good performance. I'll start reading them on my next string orchestra session.
i'll show you when we preform it and make a video
You all can continue to say other schools are better, but this is not a competition....Let's see the video and share the awesome performances....This is my way for my family enjoying my son's talent!!!!! I love string instruments and enjoy all good performances....stop the competing, that's not what this is about!!!!!
Let's see it!!!! Show me the video then we can discuss it NICELY ..... : )
Cross Middle School kick ass at this!!!!! way better then mesa high
Very good, especially for a high school group. I agree about the percussion, but no performance goes perfectly. Keep playing everybody!
lol me too & im 1st as well
i love mesa high they have the best traditions. i have so much school spirit its not even funny. i love mesa so much. best school ever BAM!!!!! BAM!!!! BAM!!!!
They performed this one for fun.
This school is located in Mesa, Arizona.
Challenging piece. I guess the performers are students. Certainly should go in a faster tempo for a waltz.. Also the percussion instrument is not the right one, I believe. However, this is a good job. Just the dedication is highly respected. Bravo!!! I would appreciate if someone would tell me where is this school? Thanks in advance
The percussion is a little too pronounced for my taste, but other than that, well-played overall.
The orchestra plays great. It's good to see young people dedicated to performing the classics with such enthusiasm
awesome!
