What did the motor cost? I just did a 110 big bore kit on my dyna, got tired of the ole 96' it had....did the S&S super stock heads...58mm hpi intake...5.3 injectors...S&S bottom crank.....im in it 13k with labor and dyno time....made 120hp and 126tq.....its got the 585 cams which im not too happy with...think imma go with the woods 999 cams....you have the best sounding harley on earth, just curious what your build cost ya if you dont mind that is...
13k in a harley engine? Holy smokes thats a bunch. Havent owned one since the early 90s...had no idea they cost that much. That is like very stout big block Chevy $. Hope its fast enough
Are those stock HD cases? If so other than boring them what else did you have done? Timken bearing conversion? What crank? I’d be interested in what you have in this bottom end
Is this on a stock 103 bottom end or do I need to do a longs / short block upgrade. As of right now I have a 2016 Harley fxdbp with a 103 with upgrades Dyno tuned at 101hp/118tq. But I want more. Do I have to do a crate big bore motor or upgrade a 103 even more?
Its the stock case bored to accept the S&S 4.125 cylinders with a darkhorse crank with the works done to it like timken upgrade and a lightened flywheel

I am happy with it. Its a little temperamental though. Biggest problem ive had is an oil leak with the oil cooler. Would I change anything? Yes, I would probably go with a woods 9f and drop compression. It has plenty of low end but really likes the RPM.

Comes on about 4500 and makes 161hp at 6500. Tq dip is crazy but thats because of the pipe. Wouldnt make the hp without it though. Need big throttle body and good heads
12:1 with that late intake closing of the TW-68 will bleed off some of that comp. it still will be a bit much for the street. it will have reliability issues for distance riding, especially in warmer climate areas. This is obviously a bar harper bike & not built for distance riding!!!
Ok man REPLY TO ME I wana know how ya running fuel for 12 to 1 compression, your not running pump gas in the baby ,I got a stroker 106 BUILT ON NITROUS n she barely runs without getting a ping in her on 94 octane? N my bike is around same hp or a little more, I can still turn her up to 250 hp if I wish to but more ponies more TROUBLE!
Intake close of 58 bleeds off compression static comp is high but dynamic comp isnt so bad. I can get it to ping if I go full throttle at low RPM in high gear but the motor is not built for low rpm power. What cam are you running? Yes pump gas all day just fill up with 93 and go if I feel like beating on it I add some Klotz octane booster
@@owenwagner9017 Vp and Torco sell 6 packs of real nice true Octane Booster Most auto parts store stuff is snake oil. May say it raises octane say 5 points but what they really mean is .5 so 91 to 91.5 May be a redundant comment, just throwing it out there.

What a beast. That's the nickname i gave my 1970 Ford dually F-350. It's got a 500 horse diesel and stacks, your bike is worthy of the name!

No way does it have 160hp..I have have built 2 124 motors top of the line head work..woods cams.. DAndD exhaust best ive seen is like 140hp

I built a 124 s&s 55 mm throttle body 6.2 injectors 11:1 compression and it made 153 hp 160 tq
Was it dynoed with a brake?
how much did you spend? my dad had his 2007 dyna done with a 107 with b2 heads and clutch etc but thinking about putting this 124 s&s

I didnt do it but im pretty sure it was just new spacers. This year of bike had a wider rim stock than newer models I believe

116hp/121tq. It had a little bigger valves put in and some port work, nothing crazy as it was a budget setup. This engine is gone now though.

It'll do whatever I throw at is as long as I keep a bottle of good octane boost in the bag. Dual Oil coolers never see head temps above 240.
with that compression not for street riding must use high octain fuel, good for the drag strip with high octain fuel.

I can ride it anywhere I can get 93 octane and avoid being stopped and idling for extended periods of time
