I ride it on the footpath
Great video, love the bike.
thanks bro
Nah I ride my single speed from Fresno to Millerton Lake and then come back
looks cool where is this?
Roßfeld hochalpenstrasse in Berchtesgaden germany🎉❤
very cool place but it's 500km away from my home😢
The tires are not meant for bumpy roads!
Why? I ride it on rough bumpy footpaths and im fine
So very pleasant

Did you paint yourself the bike?
No i did not. But I guess a Former owner did 🤙
Love my fixed gear bike.So light and simple.
Love mine too
You'd love a bmx tourer with 26 inch wheels more
ive got a 26 inch singlespeed bike with a 44/16 gear ratio. . . i am riding it to work and also during day off touring outside the city. . . loved it and i dont have plan installing back back the gears😂
I have been riding a fixed gear bike messengering San Francisco streets since 1998
No one asked you,😂😂good for you.
Which bike model ?

It's gears that provide a flat ride as the rider is always searching for the more or less same comfortable cadence. A fixed speed in particular, is different steed altogether and has to be strenously pushed into inclines and held back onsreep descents.-no coasting breaks on the flats either(unless you want to hold your legs in the air!). Gear ratio for gear ratio a hardended fixy rider will out sprint a geared rider because less frictional drag, lighter weight and explosive power built up because of battling up hls in 'too high' a gear. However, over longer distances and varying terrain the geared rider will have the advantage.
Fixed/Single Gear sure is good for flats but if youre talking racing or extremely steep climbs and descents thats when you’ll need a geared bike *(not saying you cant climb with a fixed gear on steep climbs but its extremely painful if you ride on really really steep and long climbs)*
that is why I have 7 bikes :). 5 of them with gears.
Never Skip Leg Days❤️🔥
There's the Red Hook criterium fixed gear series, and of course all velodrome races are on fixed gear. Single speed mountain bikes have a niche following. I ride mine up some big hills every day. You just have to choose a gear ratio that lets you handle the biggest hill on your route. 60 gear inches seems to be optimum for me for this area. If I lose some weight I can go back to 70 inches like I used to ride :)
I once rode a $400 single speed 600 miles from SF to LA. best bike ever.
sounds very nice. I plan to do this route as well someday, but I will have to travel to the US first 😀
Which bike model? What kind of handlebar did it have ?
what kind of bike was it if you don't mind me asking. I'm looking to get into cycling/biking. I moved to a new state recently and found this park that would be perfect for doing laps. Its great because like 15% of it is a small incline & the rest a straight shot
It was a base model state bicycle with a free hub/ fixed gear. That was about ten years ago im sure they are much better now too and i know they have bigger tire clearances.
Puss pusher
i just came home from a trip to bassano for paragliding, and had my roadbike with me, this climb is tough! nice video!
Thanks man
😂😂😂😂 is that right? 😂😂😂

this is like the most epic mountain pass in my area. I and thousands of other cyclists do this climb from all sides. why don't you recommend it?

Nice 😄
single speed is good for all rides, but it depends on your gear speed and your power for climing
That is true. But I prefer gears for climbs. 👍
What size tire you rolling on on 700x28c?
Did you ride when it was closed?
So I climb this climb mostly in june. I think the last Bus arrives at the documentation Station at around 6. Then it is still closed but then you can sneak in and do the climb. This is a private closed street. It is very very very steep and has dangerous parts, rockfall and Tunnels. So best not to go alone. In 2020 when I shot this video they did construction on the Walls. Watch out for the Bus as they go very fast and don't expect you. If there is nobody at the Start (documentation Station) and everything is closed you can go and there is no Bus. Bring a bright light and please don't crash in the very dangerous Tunnels. There is no Phone reception! This is high mountain area. But the most epic climb there is roadwise. Climb safe
hi Cool video🤘🏼 Some friends and I are traveling to Berchtesgarten to ride bikes in May and I was wondering if you could help me with some cool routes with a lot of altitude meters🤞🏼 -Klaus
Yes. So climbs in Berchtesgaden are most famously roßfeld. Take the Route north because the other one is as hard but with no view going up. Then I wrote about Kehlsteinhaus which is dangerous but the most epic and steep one to your comment. In the morning (because then its sunny) a smaller but also very steep climb is ettenberg. Also nice but with only 2 km of climb and a long way to ride before is hirschbichl. But there is a beautiful national Park. You should also climb gaisberg which is in Salzburg, so also some riding to get there. And then there is the epic trattberg where you have the view of the Dachstein Glacier. This is a Tour for a whole day. And last but not least and hour to ride by car and you can climb Großglockner which is the most famous one and at daytime very busy. Smaller climbs are kaiserbuche(also quite far) and this Hinterbrand one which is connected with kehlstein and roßfeld. You will find a lot of hight meters there. Climb safe. Write me a Message when you are here maybe we can do one together. 👍Ville
