My new year’s resolution is to do some house cleaning or organization every day no matter how big or small in preparation for my upcoming move!

I have the Tasman clears. I keep watching videos on the Tazz unboxings lol and people keep making me want them. I have too many pairs of shoes and slippers but I still want them. You should unbox Danskos. Those are the perfect nurse shoes. My mom worked as a nurse for over 35 years.

I hope I’m not asking twice and being a broken record but something is confusing. I saw one video saying this a while back and now I saw another video posted a year ago that the girl had her scrubs tucked in and said yes it’s cute but when I’m actually working at the hospital with my scrubs and pulled out the top untucked. Do some people just like tucked out for work and find a comfortable or are there things that you do and need to pull out the top for a bit?

I’m a surgical/trauma intensive care RN at a level 2 trauma center - we only take adults, sometimes older teens, but I’ve certainly never worked with babies! Thus, I somehow never knew NICU levels were opposite of trauma levels! Level 1 trauma centers get the highest acuity and most complex cases, whereas with NICUs, it seems those numbers are flipped. Never knew that! Thanks for the helpful educational video 😛 In nursing you really do learn something new every single day, even when off work at home browsing TH-cam 😂🥹

Congrats on your landing your dream job as a new grad!! Yes, all new grads should apply for any NICU clinical placements while in school, and possibly try to get PCT or CNA positions in a NICU unit either befor you go to nursing school or during college would be helpful.. And if not in a NICU, then shoot for a healthy bany nursery position, a mother and baby position, or any other pediatric unit that is possible to try to get hired in to get some similar experience and to help you know you are making tje right decision for you before you take thos difficult position as a NICU nurse, as it is not for everyone. Then once you lamd that NICU job, be prepared to possibly feel very stupid and overwhelmed for at least a good 12 to 18 months! Some hospitals may be incredibly supportive of every new grad, but not all are. But just know that most every new NICU nurse will feel overwhelmed and very stressed out before every shift for a good long time, as it is a very demandimg position. But if it remains your dream, than find some more experienced nurse to hopefully express your feelings to that can be supportive mentor that hopefully works many of the same shifts who will help you find your resove to keep showing up until you will finally find your self comfidence in your newly acquired skill sets now allow you to be more relaxed when starting each shift, eventhough you will always come across babies with issues you know nothong about, but you are now able to calmly learn from others around you every day, so you can be that incredible NICU nurse you envisioned all along!!
