no wiring?
@@bluemarlin2004 not in this one, I have encased conduits in other ferrocement structures, but just put in the metal hoops into different areas like top of arches to hang things from in this 1
I like it! Low impact and low waste. Nice trees. Maintain momentum!
@@SpaceCrete Thx, will do! Getting a bit of R&R up until next tire + ferrocement projects in the Spring!
nice vid!
SUPER COOL! This old stove-in identifies as man human enjoyed this video greatly. I encourage at least a minimum of actual physical pencil / pen / keyboard journaling along the Path. Supplements this type stuff as you age and gain and learn and 'reflect'. Good stuff. Imagine all you will know as this project grows? Thank you. Stay safe. Goats are not cool, man. Pigs or dogs, please. Key life-learning from here - Water Wins.
@@johnberry1107 For sure, I'm a big fan of journaling as an essential tool for reflection & planning! Dogs and pigs are cool too, I've had both in the past and will likely have both in my future as well. Goats are a challenge, but lots of fun!
Just subbed cool project u r working on
R u worried about water going into them windows in the bottom
@@JamieJohnson-q3f if any of the bottom sills are sloped wrong, I'll just cut a little drainage channel into the panel w/ a sawzall (or just re-cut the sill). I think I noticed one I have to do that on a few weeks ago but haven't gotten around to it yet- thx for the reminder!
This is wiiiiiiild. Stay safe man

Re 1:40 I think nukes are real, but not Hiroshima/Nagasaki. One idea is that their can be a stone which burns a very long time. It can also have control rods which slow down its burn, or its material can form a bomb. I think there's probably a Middle Earth which has been covered up, & these hot/glow stones may be part of it. I think Zelenskyy is a Nazi Jew (A Jew who is Nazi). But I'm neutral - just calling a spade a spade. I don't think either side supports BCH or freedom. But they might end up forking BTC, to issue loans directly from Core.
Yes, nukes probably are real, but I just can't say for certain. I certainly hope they're not! But if the liars in Gov't can fake humans on the moon and get the whole world to believe it, they could fake the nature of nuclear energy/science; as well as the true nature of the Earth and what is really going on at the poles... And BCH still is the most reliable, usable, and secure form of digital currency- and thus a store of value/money as well- in my book; which is why I'm proud to say Allodium is a stakeholder in BCH and holds it in its Reserve!
TH-cam fks up/deletes the thumbnails when videos are uploaded in portrait format... Annoying! Now I see I need to add the thumbnail into the video itself to get it to work, but I'm not gonna re-upload 300+mb just for a thumbnail.

‘Shalome. You know, I thought all night, if Rabin can break bread with Arafat, I can eat chicken in this antisemitic shit hole’ 🐓
At about the 2:30 mark. In the future, you can let some air out of your tires to lower the window. You would only want to let the air out of the back tires but would need a way to air the tires back up.
@@davidellison1712 Ahh, good idea, I never would have thought of that! It'd have been a much less sketchy solution to lower it an inch or 2 and I do have compressors to refill it... if the situation repeats, I'll be ready! 🙌
Something you might want to try, is to “paint” the lathe with many thin layers. Just paint it with gravy mortar, let it almost dry, then “repaint” it again and again until it’s strong enough to take thicker layers…
@@waltdoyleprojects3544 When you say "paint" it, are you meaning using a brush? That probably would work... I've also considered "spraying" it like shotcrete, which would go real fast, I just haven't figured that1 out yet... another strategy some use is to just kinda throw on the first really wet/sticky batch, which I do occasionally... but yeah, painting the lath with a thin wet batch would help successive layers to stick if it dries partially 👍
@@ogfoundation something interesting to try is to mix mortar using 1/2 the water normally used and use latex paint as the rest of the liquid. Mix with a drill quite fast and it whips up like whipped cream. Paint that on and see how fast it covers the mesh. Then sprinkle dry mortar on the wet “paint”. Very filling and water proof.
@@waltdoyleprojects3544 interesting! Gotta find some cheap/ waste latex paint... 🤔

It is amazing how much sips get tossed.
you're lucky to have all those insulation elements available. Cheers!
looking great, what does drexel solution do for the ferro cement?
The Drexel solution is the foaming agent for the aircrete, so it doesn't (shouldn't) affect the ferrocement directly. But the (aircrete) insulation should help the ferrocement last longer by limiting the temperature swings that affect the steel

Is Russia Allodium’s ally?🤔
@@luckyluke_007 Allodium has no foreign entanglements. The purpose of the comparison to Russia was to provide additional perspective regarding the relation b/w Castle Stark, OG Foundation, and Allodium; as well as relating an Allodial Foundation w/ a City-state. Many, perhaps most, are confused by the idea of "state" and how it relates to a country or nation or company, etc...

Where do you buy the panels from?
@@BrendaAngelArt Those are all waste insulation panels from a nearby business which were otherwise headed for a landfill
@@ogfoundation thet is awesome! I wish I had those close to me. Keep up the great work.
@@BrendaAngelArt thx! You may be surprised what waste streams are available from businesses near you... almost every business/ construction companies have one and they save $ if they have less waste to dispose of, so they tend to be happy to help! Same thing w/ tires
@@ogfoundation I will see if I can find out.
How watertight is the ferrocement on the dome roofs? Curious if there are any problems with cold joints or not. The aircrete and insulation definitely help in this instance
@@rileyl4109 They are watertight once cured and only leak if they crack. For the first few weeks it'll absorb moisture
Just found your channel while researching ferrocement building, and your castle is looking great! I can’t wait to try to build with it, but probably something smaller in scope than a whole damn castle 😂
@@rileyl4109thx! I started out with a simple U shape of earth- rammed tires (earthship type design) to get me through the first winter, and its just grown from there! Pairing the tires for the foundations + doing ferrocement on top is really cost- effective if willing to invest the labor!
Do you have an aerial image of your project that you could use as an overlay in the bottom corner when you are explaining your project? I've been trying to follow along but you've got a lot of stuff going on in your build videos so it would give people like me a reference of which area of the build you are currently working on. It's really interesting stuff.

Dude if you did even a concept sketch of your vision, please consider showing that at the start for those who just stumbled on your vid. Slower pans would help, too. This is like trying to track every punch and move during a fight scene in a jason bourne movie, flashing from closeup to closeup.
@@dposting2941 haha I got a Jason Bourne action scene parallel?!? 🏆😝 I hear you though, and appreciate the feedback!
Why not take the time to back up and lay out your idea before trying to show the inside. I still don’t understand what the hell you going to do. Camera movement to fast
@@Plug_play thx for the tips! I sometimes assume that the viewer has seen previous episodes and knows generally what I'm trying to do... which currently is insulating the top of the terracotta colored ferrocement dome, which the grey ferrocement walls are edging around, forming a ferrocement form... it should make more sense in this week's video, when I (finally) get to the aircrete!
