What color are the axis? Thanks
You gotta try out the kutanas for early and mid season. Amazing durable pants that fit and look great. And those panels of the pants are water proof
Re: the base layer. In my experience, First Lite wool is significantly softer than KUIU, but KUIU pants fit me much better. I wouldn’t ding the Axis pants because they’re not ideal for warm weather. They aren’t intended to be a warm weather pant.
How did the baits work out
They fit to size or would you recommend going up? I'm a 34 would a 36 do?
I’m wondering the same
@@minkmink410I’m like a 37. Some 36 fit but most 38 just feel a little big. But I did buy the 38 because everybody say to size up. That being said I’m thinking of getting the 36 just to see. Just a little to baggy. By the way I’m 5’10” 220. Skinnier legs. So the 34 inseam a bit to long but no choice there.
Hi Tyler, Cameron from FFO here! For me, I used the sizing chart on the Kuiu website and used a seamstress/tailor measuring tape to determine my size, and according to that, the fit was true to size. Hope that helps and sorry for the extremely slow response! We had to take a break from content creation for personal reasons, but Dan and I shall be back to creating content shortly!
Nice review! If you had to make a choice between repurchasing you Axis Pants or buying a different pair which way would you go? I hunt primarily in temp ranges of as low as -15 & winds up to 50mph.
Hi there whatsinaname, Cameron from FFO here! I absolutely love my Axis Hybrid pants and wouldn't hesitate to purchase them again. Hunting in the conditions you have described with that low of temperatures and such high winds I would be sure to also wear at minimum a good heavy Merino wool base-layer under the Axis Hybrid, and probably also pack in a good pair of high fill-power, zip-off, down pants. Hope this helps and sorry for the extremely slow response! Dan and I had to step away from content creation for personal reasons, but we look forward to returning soon!
@@findingfreedom3038 That's alright! I appreciate the follow up. I ended up going with the Guide pants and they came in really handy for the EXTREMELY cold and windy conditions we faced this year. Might get a pair of the Axis next season.

My man! Great information!
Appreciate it!
