Travel Through Nature by Alex Beernink
Netherlands
Cinematic clips of nature with a musical soundtrack to match and much attention to detail.
Enjoy the beauty of nature and a relaxing (sometimes epic) soundtrack.
You can enjoy videos with birds, butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies in sections dedicated especially to these beautiful creatures. The best shots of nature I filmed will be published here. Mostly shot in my own region (Doetinchem, the Netherlands), but sometimes also a little further away.
I hope my videos will encourage you to enjoy and cherish the beauty of nature. And if you have the chance: go out and see, hear and feel it for real.
In the section 'De Zumpe' you can watch all the videos about this nature reserve near Doetinchem: 120 acres of mainly wetlands, permanently wet or flooded forests and meadows.
Video reports about my nature trips to South Africa and Iceland also have their own sections.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The ‘Geysir’ and the ‘Strokkur’ are located in a geothermally very active area in the Haukadalur, a valley in the southwest of Iceland. Geysir comes from gjosa, which means 'squirt'. Unfortunately, the Geysir is no longer as active, but a few meters from the Geysir there is another geyser, the “Strokkur” or 'churn'.
In this video you can see this geyser spouting its water up to 20 meters, which it does every 5 to 8 minutes.
In the immediate vicinity of both of these geysers are several hot springs with blue colored water. This is caused by silicates.
I hope you will enjoy the beauty of Iceland!

Wow! Powerful images. Thanks for sharing Alex. 💙💙
Thanks! Iceland has so many beautiful sites, so there is more to come 😊
I love Iceland! ❤
Well said!!!
mooie compilatie
@@pieter3009 Dank je!
Amazing to watch and also learn about the fumaroles. Beautifully filmed scenes of the steam and gases. I can only imagine how incredible it is to see and also smell! Thank you for the wonderful views. Best regards, Cathy
@@quote_nature these are indeed very interesting sites to visit and the good thing about seeing it on video is that you don't smell it 😉
Stunning film. Beautiful captures of the lava fields and bridge. The landscapes in the park are pretty amazing... So nice to see the bird too. Best regards, Cathy
Thank you! Extraordinary landscapes indeed. Thanks for watching and there's more to come🙂)
Fantastic filming of the water birds, beautiful captures!
@@quote_nature Thank you!
mooie soorten en film Alex
@@pieter3009 Dank je, Piet!
Amazing birds!!!!
Yes they are! Thanks for watching.
So beautiful! Thank you so much for putting the IDs into chapters to follow along. Such a wide variety. I would have trouble picking a favorite. Even those without much color are so beautiful. Will you be able to travel there again? Looks like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I loved the ending with the starling calling. Great work once again.
Thank you! It was a beautiful holiday back then and I hope to go back there sometime in the future, there is do much variety in landscapes and wildlife. The elephants already got a great part in some videos a while ago, but I had not got around editing these beautiful birds... until now 😊. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful scenes with lovely gentle music. Stunning scene with the coots and the falling leaves. Best regards, Cathy
Thanks Cathy! Those falling leaves were a nice bonus!
mooie film Alex
This is such a wonderful video. When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a Redhead or Canvasback, since they look so similar. I had to look up this bird for more information and found a site comparing the three. I always find it fascinating how many species we have here in the Northeastern US that you also have, but it's also fun to find out about those we don't have here. Seeing the Common Pochard in flight was a nice surprise. Your videography is spectacular. Thanks once again for such a fantastic video.
Wow, I looked up the canvasback and redhead, the resemblance is fascinating. Main characteristic seems to be the bloodred eyes of the common pochard while your version (redhead) has eyes that are slightly lighter. The canvasback has a much darker beak, but seems also closely related. Thanks for watching!
@@AlexBeernink I just shared this video on my personal Facebook page since I have many friends who love waterfowl as much as I do. I'm sure they will enjoy it!
Beautiful bird and wonderful capture in the video. It always amazes me how raptors have such strong talons to hold on to their prey while eating. I also like watching them as they carefully keep an eye out for other birds since some in my part of the world have been known to swoop down and try to take the prey away. The bird in flight was beautiful. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful experience with us.
Thanks for your reaction and watching the video. This is the most common bird of prey in the Netherlands, but they can show a great variety in color: from almost totally white to completely brown and everything in between.
OH MY! This has to be one of the most adorable videos I've watched recently. I'm so glad you were able to visit the area and spot these cuties all snuggled up together. The middle one sure did look to be squished. 🤣😍 Did you also see the parents nearby? Thanks for the information about the two different races. I have never heard of these birds but can see how they get their name. Have a great day, Alex!
This was a 'leftover' from my trip to south africa a few years ago. I only caught these juveniles. They were so cute, they had to have their 'own' film 😊
@@AlexBeernink I can understand why! They are the kind I'd say, "I want to pick them up and snuggle with them!". 🥰🤣
Hallo Alex, alweer een prachtige video. Best regards, Bert.
Beautifully presented. Lovely birds. Beautiful capture! Wish you a pleasant weekend. Kind regards, Knut.
@@knutfugl Thank you! There are currently a lot of different duck species in our region. This one is very beautiful with its red eyes and head.
A rarity in Norway.
Echt mooi.!!
Dank je Bert!
Mooie video.!
Mooi.!
Stunning scene of the buzzard feeding with the beauty of autumn behind him and wonderful captures of the hawk flying off!
@@quote_nature It is always a majestic sight to see such a bird of prey taking off. Thanks for watching!
mooie opnames
prachtig Alex
Dank je!
The birds are so sweet cuddling with each other. Lovely film! Best regards
Thank you!
Although we have Mallard and Black Ducks year-round here in Coastal Delaware, USA, other waterfowl are starting to migrate to the area. I have many favorite bird species, but waterfowl are my favorite group. Mostly they are easier to photograph as they paddle around and feed. I love the variety you have given us in this video. I have to start watching your videos on my television to truly get the full beauty of them. Another fantastic video, Alex!
Thanks for watching! The wet areas are my favourite place to film, especially now the 'winter ducks' are gradually flying in to spend the mild weather here in the netherlands. Although most of them can be seen in the coastal area, sometimes a few can be seen inland in brooks and wet nature areas. I will certainly keep my eye open 😉
So pretty. I loved when the one was flapping its wings but still holding on to the stem. We have a large grasshopper in my area, too. It's not quite as colorful, but it's impressive to see.
This is indeed one of the more colorful species, a real beauty!
Fabulous soundtrack you picked for this video. Beautiful footage.
Thanks! I always try to find some kind of match between the footage and music.
I always have to stop to watch dragonflies when they are depositing eggs. They are so magical and appear to be dancing. It's November 17 here in Coastal Delaware, USA, and although it's supposed to be autumn, the weather has been more like late summer. We've not had much rain in over 40 days, so it's very dry. Some of my native plants are still blooming. Has it been different this year in your area as far as the weather? A friend in Ontario, Canada is having warmer than normal temperatures, too. Have a great day! Thanks for another wonderful video.
Here, we had a year with the most rainfall ever. So nature was quite wet all year long. However there were still warm days with sunshine and enough time to film the beauty of nature. I really started to appreciate dragonflies and have filmed tons of footage. There will be more (dancing) dragonflies next year after I have finished editing all footage 😊
This is such a beautiful video! Many times when I'm taking pictures or videos of moths, people will ask about them and say they never really notice them. Even those that are plain colors have different patterns. Thanks for taking the time to put this together with all the identifications.
Thanks for watching! Yes, the patterns are often quite interesting while some are also as brightly colored as butterflies.
I'm finally able to take a few hours and catch up on my favorite content creators! I love this peaceful video so much. It's Sunday evening here in Coastal Delaware, USA, and this is the perfect way to end my day. I love how you spied on the dragonfly. Thanks again for listing the species. I love learning about new ones from your area.
Thrilled to hear that you found a relaxing way to close the day by watching this video. The colors of Autumn are always nice to film, although they might not be as bright as the colours I see sometimes from videos from other parts in the world. Is autumn colorful in your region?
mooie film Alex.
great
super work
Thank you
