Absolute Power #3- this issue was all over the place. I know you said you wish you could just read the main Absolute Power book but that wouldn't be good cuz that's what I'm doing. Because this event is relying on the tie ins to help till the story. Cuz out of nowhere batman just pops up with the mother box and superman pops out with a hug. Ultimates #4- great issue. Love the way you can read the story across row by row cover to cover. I put some miles on those staples. But crazy everything that went wrong with the fantastic four was due to he makers changing the formula. Exceptional X-Men #1 - A fun slice of life story while bringing in new characters and laying the landscape for this run. Eve Ewing is a great writer but like she did with Black Panther, she focused so much on world building and character development that the actual story was water down and almost an after thought. Hope she focus more on story and less of Chicago. Art was fantastic though! Minor Arcana- interesting story also another slice of life. Idk if I care much for the Theresa character to read her month to month but ima keep pulling it and read a couple at a time to see where this goes. My pick of the week is Miles Morlas Spider-Man #24- Miles still continues to struggle with being a Vampire. His having a hard time controlling his bloodlust and that is keeping him from pulling his punches and he almost kills the Vulture in front of his Granddaughter. Now Miles will work with T'Challa to reverse him from being a Vampire. Hoping we get Black Panther vs Miles next issue before he fixes him. Cuz why not lol But great reviews! And have a good weekend!

Cool T-shirt! Flash Gordon is a classic!

Flash Gordan has been a great book for me, love the art and the story is exactly what i want from a sci fi type fantasy like that. Scarlett was a complete dud for me. Here i am at issue 4 expecting to see @#$% go down and what do i get? I get panels and panels and panels of two besties UWUing over each other saying back and forth, "i don't want you to die", "no bestie, i don't want you to die either". "i killed our house plants", "you are so pretty". How in the actual #$%@ do they expect to me to believe these badass agents are sent on this life threatening important mission and they are in a hallway talking about going home to watch TV together? Such a let down.

Glad ya like Flash Gordon #2. Im totally on board with the Conan books. VERY let down by Scarlett thus far. In my opinion, Scarlett is the "Ultimate X-Men" of the Energon Universe. Total dud.

Helen of wyndhorn, the ultimates, and animal pound were my favs this week. thanks for your review.

I actually really enjoyed Exceptional X-Men. I loved the pacing and character work. Not what I would want for every issue but I think it was a strong set up.

Grommets reviews are always the same, "they drew something from ye olden days, they talk about stuff, they did stuff", this book has very little substance to it but the art is good I guess. Zatanna art and coloring is out of this world, the story is kinda cheesy but i'm down to finish the series X-men i thought was actually good this week. I like that they are kinda tying in uncanny and x-factor into this and i guess a little of nyx. I thought the scenes with scott were powerful and the ending with scott was really powerful as well. I'm glad you didn't review x-force because that series is a complete waste of time. No character development and just really lame plots.

So we've had Detective Comics, Batman Offworld, Batman Dark Age, Batman Age of Bats, Batman Space Bats, Batman vs Aliens, Batmen, Savage Bat of Batman, and The Lost Book of B...atman. Is it possible we may be experiencing a bit of over exposure with Bruce Wayne?

Packed week! I guess I shouldn’t have passed on Alien v Avengers. A lot of good comics this week. I think because of the art zatanna might be my favorite comic of the week…but I am still trying to decide.

I'm enjoying most of the X-books so far, but I haven't properly read X-men since the 90's. That may be what makes me happy!

I don't know what been going on with SKTC it just feels like its not a passion of the writer anymore and it's just continuing for the sake of it. Really loved Avengers V Aliens and picked up LIFE and loved that too.

I had to do a reread for ultimate X-MEN so i can fully decide if i want to keep it on my pull. And it didn't take long cuz this series is art driven for the most part. But the main story is about The shadow king getting revenge on the people responsible for Tsubasa's suicide. Like killing Tsubasa coach and the school bullys. And for Hisakos part in it was a friend that wouldn't listen to the obvious signs of depression Tsubasa was going through. And we learned the connection between Tsubasa and the Shadow king was the cult. But i think the reason the shadow king was stalking Tsubasa is due to him secretly being in love with him. And another thing I've noticed is that these mutants aren't getting their powers the traditional way but with magic instead. Because in issue one Hisako got her powers after seeing the stack of runes at the spot where Tsubasa killed himself and Maystorm got her powers after researching Storm from the ultimate Black panther story then got cat scratched by the shadow king with runes on his head. So maybe their powers are connected my their deep thoughts like Armor cuz Hisako was scared of getting hurt and maystorm for her obsession with The African storm.

Another excellent issue of ultimate x-men by peach momoko. It continues to be its own thing when it comes to both x-men and the new ultimate universe. But it will connect to the rest of the universe it's just exploring the mutant/japan side of the world.

Agree on Avengers vs Alien, Savage Sword and Gromets. I would DEFINITELY add Flash Gordon #2 to the top 5 for sure. It was great!!!
