I slapped ceramic plates, NERA and composite armor on my tank, now i have a better working tanks. Done. Its cannon has 4700+ mm pen (standard space engineers, no modded guns) Im developing APS for it too. To combat the bad armor behind the ceramic, I've added 18000mm of armor (composite) Ceramic air ceramic air heavy block heavy block

I've just found this video and I have to say great minds think alike! I've done a few videos/live streams recently about building a very similar system to this and I can confirm it works great for sub-grid thrusters, sub-grid suspension, VTOL systems and I even use it to fully operate my mechs. Event Controllers are my No.1 favourite block these days!

honstly love the atlas chassis in general wonderful design me and my friends had a long running scrappy survival server at one point had "found" (I had placed one just as a lost vehicle with some damage to it in an old wrecked base from MES) and we loved it became our own mobile base as the reavers and other guys we had didn't allow us to stay in one place long beefed the thing out a lot would love to send pics some how but it was an amazing and trusted vehicle and has been used many times with my friends
