I know the story about Chuck isn't true. My grandmother had a german shepherd. Someone was trying to break into her home late one night. There was a door from her living room to her foyer and then an outside door. Both doors had glass panes. My grandmother's dog jumped through both panes of glass, knocked the burglar to the ground, and grabbed him by the throat. Everytime the guy moved, Sherree tightened her grip. When the police arrived, the burglar was screaming at them to get the dog off. The police waited a few minutes before arresting him, because the dog scared the guy more than the court system ever would. Apparently, he had broken into quite a few homes and harmed some of the residents. Fortunately, Sherree did not get cut.

Germans created GREAT DOGS for the entire world to love !!! I've had or known Shepards, Rottweilers, Pinchers, Schnauzers and Poodles, and all of them have been INTELLIGENT & and protective. I do believe some of them were even GENIUSES !!

War dogs should be allowed to go home and stay with their handlers. They don't belong in shelters.

My Marley, 13.5 yrs-old Black Lab, but bigger than usual & a back end that showed her touch of G.Shepherdness, passed 6/23/23. I am only now able to consider another dog. She opened the front door with her mouth. Eyes so expressive, I'd say, "Just go ahead & use your words." Love" is too mild a term to describe how I feel about her. She was with my younger son 6 years before he passed away. A beautiful creature. Another memorably beautiful dog, was an Irish Setter working as a security dog in the airport TSA security line. The human officer & dog walked a circle in the middle of the line, pausing, then signaling passengers to move forward. That tail swishing as if the dog knew how beautiful s/he was. I had difficulty turning off the staring.
