This isn’t frustration boiling over, this is guilt being hidden with anger. Maybe it’s guilt over infidelity, or maybe it’s guilt over something else, but it’s very clear that this was an attempt to distract both herself and him from something. There were likely other classmates who either were forced to or willingly chose to do the power hungry pastor's bidding. We didn't hear about them, but I suspect that there are other parents who will have to pick out their own nursing homes. And to the OP and anyone else putting up with stuff like this: Get your own finances in order. Mom and Dad are going to leave their assets to their church, no matter if you stay in obedience to them or not.

As a Christian, I am vehemently disgusted by how the parents behaved here. Forcing OP to attend graduation at the church she didn't enjoy because of a past bullying experience just screams a lack of care, respect, and concern for her feelings. That is leaps and bounds beyond how Christians are supposed to act, and they need some serious intervention.

Those parents should read their Bibles again because they are not being Christ like at all.

So this is religious trauma and is gonna push her away from it.

a few month ago when Gladiator 2 came out my dad decided spontaneously that he wanted to go see it pretty latw at night, and as a father/child thing, i decided to come with him. we usually smoke a little before we start the movie, grab a blanket, get some munchies, and try to fight the sleepiness away whenever we do our little movie nights, but this time i had forgotten the blanket in the car. just as im standing close to the exit ready to go back out to the car alone to get the blanket, i suddenly got this horrible gut feeling basically saying not to leave my dad alone, and since my mother always says to trust my gut i immediately turned around and walked all the way back to the theater. i spent nearly the entire movie guard dogging this 6 foot tall jacked maintenence man like a feral animal, only to have nothing happen during the whole movie. i know it wasnt the pot since this has literally never happened before and weed always calms my anxiety considerably. i still hwve no idea what happened to cause that gut feeling but i dont regret my actions at all haha

To the ppl saying the age difference is creepy: sometimes a big age difference isnt actually creepy but just a rare instance of actual love with a big age gap. I have some thoughts on this. First off, I really wish she didn’t have herself cremated. Cremation is a big pet peeve of mine, and if I were dictator of this country, it would be illegal and people working with dead bodies would be rewarded and we would find ways to cheapen not being cremated. I also don’t agree with whatever the poop was at her funeral she wanted that she was talking about. Not really sure how that would make a good funeral. I also don’t agree with this woman for being an atheist. This also means that I don’t agree with her parents for not being Catholic. I wish they were. If her parents were Catholic, that would probably reduce her chances from being an atheist when she becomes an adult. All of that said, I don’t agree with her parents for trying to run her life, however. They should not have done that. Those are my thoughts. You may or may not agree with it, but that’s just what I think. I wish this woman never died. I’m sure she was a good person.
