I am an amateur photographer and a hobby drone pilot and like many people have a hard disk stuffed with holiday photos that never see the light of day after the 1st viewing. So, I decided to create slideshow-style videos with my photos and upload them to TH-cam, letting me watch them on my internet connected 4K television.
Getting a (good) drone was a major revelation, adding a new aspect to my photography, and as I gained confidence, I have also dabbled in video too.
I also use this channel to promote my local area, Inverclyde, in Scotland, and am happy to share my videos with family and friends, in fact, anyone that might find them useful.

Port Glasgow September 2024 Sunshine!
For the first time in quite a while, we woke up to a beautiful, warm, sunny morning, in September! Unusual but very welcome after a particularly dismal August. Sent the wee drone out from the balcony to capture some video and photos before the clouds closed in.
Note: the cruise liner in the distance, at the Greenock Cruise Terminal is the Queen Mary 2.
The drone is a DJI Mini 2. The photos were edited using Affinity Photo, and the video was edited using Wondershare Filmora 13.

Views from Parklea August 2024

Finally, the wind dropped and the sun came out to play, so I put the wee drone up above Parklea Playing Fields, Port Glasgow, to get a birds-eye view of the surrounding area and the two football fields that have been planted with flowers. Drone is a DJI Mini 2. Photos edited using Affinity Photo and video edited with Filmora 13.

Southern Upland Way Portpatrick to Killantringan Fell June 2024

Photos and video taken during a walk, in June 2024, from the start of the Southern Upland Way to the top of Killantringen Fell (and back). Plus another part of the Way, near New Luce, across Kilhern Moss. A Sony Compact Zoom camera and my DJI Mini 2 drone were used for the photos and video. Affinity Photo and Filmora 13 did the rest.

Hey, how was it in Feb? Weve been told its so hot its not worth visiting, but were contemplating going in our time off next feb?
Hi, we are from Scotland where it's around 2 or 3C, wet and windy, at this time of the year. So it was a fabulous novelty for us to be wearing shorts and t-shirts and big hats - it was around 42C but it was a dry heat, not like the hot and sticky heat in Cairns. The weather really suited the landscape and it was still enjoyable to go walking as long as we drank lots of water. I'm in my early 60's and had no problems with the heat.
@@Jim_Canning aaah that sounds better than I’ve read, I’m from England so not used to the heat either haha. Just read that Feb is the worst time to go because of heat and flies so worried about driving all the way there and it being unbearable, but your experience seems like it is worth it
