Sutures & Soul: The Anatomy of Vet Care | Episode 7 | Four Legs Two Mics
Meet Dr. Anahita Kumar, a vet who’s done it all-private practice, government service, and animal welfare. As a WVS taskforce vet, she’s travelled across the country and abroad, helping welfares capacity build and training other vets to do better by their patients. But it’s not just her résumé that stands out; it’s the way she practices medicine-with professionalism, innovation, and an unmistakable kindness. Don’t miss this conversation.

Thanks so much for all the great insights on animal care. I love how you balance medicine with compassion, especially when working with strays. Your tips on preventative care and building trust really resonated with me. As a pet parent, knowing you are there for us all is always comforting. Maxilove Always!
Thank you Shalu! Glad you enjoyed the podcast! You are an amazing pet parent .❤to Max
Dr Anahita is a great Vet. Committed to giving the best as a Veterinarian. A Professional to detail.
I met Anahita when I went for my first community animal vaccination drive. The tiny little sweetie that she is, she floored me completely. She inspired me so much that its been years that I look after and feed almost 150 community animals. She has helped me with all my rescue kids too. The surprising part is that even.though she has treated so many animals, she still remembers all their names. Pepper was her favourite patient and not forgetting Sugar who turned into a beautiful.swan from a ugly duckling. I rescued Sugar when she had no fur at all on her body. She almost looked like a lizard. Anahita helped me so religiously with all her medicated baths. Thanks Anahita. All my kids say Thank you to you Ive been listening to Anahita for quite some time through this podcast and I'm blown away by the wealth of knowledge and expertise shared by her. As a pet owner and a rescuer I've learned so much from the podcast, from understanding common health issues to tips on animal behavior and nutrition. What sets this podcast apart is her ability to break down complex topics into easy-to-understand language, making it accessible to pet owners of all levels. Their passion for animal welfare and dedication to educating pet owners is truly inspiring. I appreciate the variety of topics covered, from common health issues to more nuanced discussions on animal behavior and welfare and the 4 points that she spoke of. Kudos to you dear for your selfless love tp all animals and the way you take care of them. You are a super vet and moreover A SUPER HUMAN. LOVE YOU❤
Wow! So so grateful for your appreciation and all that you do for the animals!Hope together we can make a difference to animal welfare❤
Hi Shivani. Really liking your podcast. Can you please do a podcast on how we can take care of our foster animals ? I foster a few cats and a female dog as of now. We try and give them food, shelter and love. But what are the things that we should do for their welfare as well ? And how can we start on this ?
Season 2 will cover that. For now I would suggest you connect with an animal welfare near you and also canine & feline behaviourist to help you care for them better.
You can email your details on givegoadogs@gmail.com if you need help connecting with behaviourists in your city 😊
Loved listening to Anahita talk about her one true passion! As if being an amazing vet and welfare warrior wasn’t enough, Anahita fosters the puppies/kittens who need extra care. So many of them have recovered in her personal care and went on to get adopted. So much love and respect❤
Lots of love to you Meera,Thank you for watching!
