I lost 3000 fingerlings yesterday
My concrete pond size is 20ft x 15ft x 4ft and I stocked 7000 fingerlings. They where all standing upright in the pond, when I came the following morning many have died
@@emmanueletukudoh8217 my God. Sorry about that
@@emmanueletukudoh8217 The reason why they were standing is because the oxygen in that pond is not enough, even if you change the water the oxygen will go down after a short while. You need to buy more ponds and separate. As a matter of fact the density I will advice for your pond is 550 catfish. But you can still get it right. Get more pond maybe tarpaulin pond and space them. If you do this you will see the difference. I would like to get your feedback after doing this. Am always available to help thank you

Thank you for this video sir. I have a set of my fish that is much bigger than the rest so I stepped up their feed from 4mm to 6mm because they consume so much due to the small 4mm pellets. Should I take them back to the 4mm? Thank you.

@@temisanrewane8776 the small ones switch back to 2mm then big ones give them 3mm. I don't advice u give your fish 4mm at 3months. They are still growing

@@UlomaGloria-tj5iz good question thank you for that. This is issue that some people will face, maybe I will need to do a video to address it. Because at this point u have to treat them with medication. I don't like prescribing because people abuse it

Good day Sir, what can one use to increase the PH level of water? My water PH is low after it was tested. The fishes have been dying and that could be a problem. Someone suggested bicarbonate. Do you advise i use that Sir? And how long should it be used for fingerlings & juvenile? And when can one stop usage? Such that the fish will no longer be harmed by the Low PH level and can now survive in the normal water .

My brother, you need to learn more about fishery. You don't throw fish in water like that. And you don't put in water just because it is water, you need to let the fish get use to the water to avoid shock that can result to dead.
@@Ubok-u8l alright thank you for your input. But you should have listen and observe closely before you conclude. You are right in what you said but this is done when you are introducing them in a new environment and water. Here I just finished sorting them, the water I’m putting them is still the same water they came out from that is the bucket, so there is nothing new here. And beside none d!ed they are all alive and doing well check the videos I posted after this and more are coming concerning this particular set of fish. So bro I know what am doing
