Thank you for your video!!! I would’ve never figured this out. Thank you, thank you you!!
Frosted tips❤
I love your idea
I have a ton of pinecones around my apartment complex. I am so happy this showed up in my feed! I'll be out collecting pinecones this afternoon. Thanks for the video!
How many rolls of the banner paper did you need to cover the whole thing?
The banner paper was 75 feet long, so I only needed one roll to cover the outside.
So detailed! Thank you!
LOVE❤❤❤❤
Thx
this is from two years ago!!!!!! i making them this year...i made them like you did. thank you for sharing
What s the measurements I’m confused
Hey There Charlie nice Building
my cats am humgry the todos day
Best instructions I've seen Thankyou
Whats the name of that yoga position you used while carpeting ? Carpet Spouse? Great narration...Beautifully done! I'm going to copy a lot of your techniques. I'm replacing a "bought" tree and after doing two re-carpets on them my cats are getting a new loft! I will be assembling with the idea of how to disassemble to re-carpet when the time comes. If these goes as smoothly as you show in the video, instead of new carpet, I may rebuild. Amazon has velco sealed carpet pieces that work well for round posts.
That position is called "Hide the Toes from the Drill" :) I have to recarpet this tree as well because he loves to use the sides of the box as a scratching post and has ripped a few holes in it. I suggest not using glue when you add the carpet, only staples, to make replacing the carpet easier for you.
What carpet did you use?

Wow! Looks Great! I want to make one for my sister, she has been sick and has been asking for a Pillow Bed or something she can sit up on while she is on the bed to help in giving her some relief. The ones on Amazon and even Walmart etc. are expensive and I through about maybe making one instead because I use to sew stuffed animals, etc., So I decided maybe I can try to make one for her and if not then I will save up for it but it might take more time. So, I just wanted to ask what kind of sewing machine do you use and how much did it cost, I was looking online and some of them are affordable but some are expensive as well. Do you have any advice on which sewing machine would be best for making pillow beds and if so, which one's do you recommend? Please and Thank you. :)
My machine was a gift, and was given many years ago, so I can't say much about the cost, but it is a Singer Brilliance. However, this project was so simple and only required a straight stitch. So any machine that can handle felt, should work just fine. I am sure your sister will love it!
I love the idea of having more flaps to make it more interesting. Thank you.
Thank you. Very clear to follow
Love your sense of humour. Good job and well done!

Yay
girl this is amazing
A+++ project!!! This lady knows all the correct lingo. Code, Flush, Plumb.... Very Well Done!!!
Great job!
Thank you! From Athens, Greece 🇬🇷
I need to make something very sturdy soon. I got two 18lb cats and those pressed paper cat trees don't hold for too long.
Very easy, quick project! I needed a treasure chest for a bday party tomorrow and this was very achievable in a few hours
That is exactly why I needed the first one I made! Birthday parties are such great excuses to make things. I am glad my idea worked for you!
I had this idea only with duck tape instead of paint. I wasn't sure how I would go about making the lid but sure enough, I found your video. Thank you! 🤗
You just reminded me of that phase in the early 2000's when everyone was making stuff like wallets and dresses out of duct tape. I might have to go buy a few rolls for a new project! I'm glad my video could help!
@@shesmakingsomething I'm getting ready to make a 2nd one for my grandson's birthday. I made one last fall for my granddaughter. I used duct tape also. It turned out great and pretty sturdy. She loves it, still using it. It was much larger. I had to put handles on the ends, used stoved bolts to attach the lock. Also glued some pirate plastic coins on the stripes across the top of the lid. Just wanted to thank you for posting this craft because the one I made was a huge hit. I hope this next one will be. I have to make a dinosaur theme.
Great job.
Well that was a couple of hundred dollars saved, well done. Congrats
Looks beautiful and real
Thanks for sharing such awesome work well done and it also pulls on creativity of what's in your head that you may not always know that's there that has pulled on my creativity in my own self thank you very much
One of my biggest pet peeves is when the wife wants to make something but the husband does all the power-tooling. I appreciate that you did 99.7% of it yourself! AND WHAT A GREAT CAT TREE!! HELLO CHARLIE! 🎉
Brilliant!
Awesome idea, thanks 😊
That's a wonderful, fun pro9ject. So clever.
Nice design and nicely done (both for the project and the video).
Amazingly🎉
You should pre-drill holes for screws to avoid splitting the wood
Wonderful project. I made a homemade tall cat tree by taking an old wicker table that I had that was not too pretty anymore for the living room and attached a short and cheap cat tree to it. For extra stability since the wicker is so light and the cat tree can tend to be heavy, I got a decorative fabric cubby to put on the bottom shelf of the wicker table and put large heavy beach rocks at the bottom and her toys and sunrises on top. And in the bottom cubby in the cat tree that she never really used cuz it’s so tiny (and she doesn’t like those kinds of tight spaces anyway) I filled a burlap bag with heavy rocks and that puppy don’t move now. I put it in front of her favorite window and next to a homemade climbing/nap wall I made from an old twin mattress I was going to toss. I just covered the mattress with a nice grippy upholstery fabric. And since the climbing wall is in the hallway I don’t even need to attach it to the wall if she topples it over cuz it is still easy for her to cling to as it falls to hit the opposing wall and then she has plenty of ways to hop down either to her cat tree or a living room arm chair right by the hallway entrance. Or she cries for me to push it back in place as she rides it back in place. Those two pieces get the most use compared to any other cat furniture I’ve purchased. Except for the perfect cat scratching post I found at a feed store. It’s super tall and has the heavy wide base. It comes with me anytime we travel cuz it takes up little space. I put it in the car last and nudge it between the luggage and the base against the rear seat door behind the driver so no windows get blocked. Thanks for inspiring me with your kitty condo build. I’m sure your baby will love it for years to come
I love your design. Simple and classy and everything that deserves a thumb-up
You did a marvelous job on it. I love to build things also and wish I would had watched your video before buying. We probably have enough wood down stairs to build about 4 or 5 of them now I wished I'd seen this. Thank you for sharing😻😸
What supplies did you need to make this cat tree? Also, great job on the cat tree, it looks awsome!
@shesmakingsomething UPDATE. Well after 16 months. The cat tree has only had 1 issue. And that was simple exchange of some carpet. Make sure you have a hood staple gun.
What did you use for the cardboard? It looks like cardboard trifold posterboard??
Absolutely wonderful job! Charlie is sooooo cute! 😻 Would you mind sharing the dimensions again?
This is brilliant! Love it ❤
Hii thank you for the video it is very helpful! I was just wondering what type of carpet you used to wrap the wood? 😊
It has gone up in price, but this is what I bought to cover the wood. www.homedepot.com/p/Foss-Unbound-Smoke-Gray-Ribbed-6-ft-x-8-ft-Indoor-Outdoor-Area-Rug-CP45N41PJ1VH/202800194
I am New to your channel young lady you have done a wonderful job Thanks for sharing your video Merry Christmas to all❤ 🙏👍💚💛💚💚❤️✨
VERY SIMPLE, easiest method i've watched...love your idea for the bigger hood measurement and method...i did just serge my hood seam; i too like the curved look of hood..also loved the pockets...very good...thanks
So glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
