This came with my Xmas cpc 464. Great game. I also received harrier attack, grand prix driver and Roland in the caves. The latter two were dreadful lol

iirc the flagships are supposed to be able to escape when flying alone, and then they show up in the next level maybe in this version with it being the last enemy it softlocked the routine for clearing the stage

wow wait what it's absolutely wild you have to beat _a secret level_ to get _the actual credits_ of the game, which are different than the ones on the title where you see the game was made by... *Satoru Iwata?!?!?!* I never imagined this game would have a plot twist it looks like it really gets caught up in not placing on the edges even when otherwise it's making a very bad move

Got to say if you think ET was bad, Yea this game is like, you fight a face, then some orange flying thing, then some bug like thing, then what looks like an orange falling object, then something that jumps, then something sparkling thing in the ground that you can’t attack then the pattern that repeats with music that’s random notes that repeats. Yea. And Sorcerer is another game that’s like this except you are on the ground until you grab an object.

BLUE PIT! Fun game, and quite addictive. It is rather easy though once you've powered up that engine.

Wow, this is very slick and fancy looking for a VIC-20 game. The VIC-20 doesn't have a smooth horizontal scroll register so the smooth horizontal scrolling effects have to be done with clever character redefinition, or lots of different characters for different scroll amounts. But if you use different characters, you don't end up with the occasional glitch effects (the glitches are from when the character definitions are scrolled AND the characters themselves are shifted over).

The large 2x2 char soft-sprites sure lend a tight crowded feeling! Although, the screen real estate consumed is actually about the same as a C64 sprite (a bit wider, but also shorter).

Not bad for a BASIC type-in for unexpanded VIC.

I just bought it in cartridge😮. Cant wait to go home and play for a while.😅

I remember playing this game in a small grocery store in rural Texas. In my memory I always conflated it with Phoenix, and now I see why--the second wave of Pleiades is similar to that of Phoenix, with the ability to "clip their wings." Ah, nostalgia!
