London Rainy Walking Tour 🇬🇧 Leicester Square, Chinatown & Regent St. - Binaural Rain City Sounds 4K
Join me on a wet Spring evening through some of London's most popular spots.
We begin in bustling Leicester Square. An ever popular location for tourists, Leicester Square is a hub of cinema and entertainment, which sees regular film premieres with Hollywood's finest, as well as the London Film Festival taking place each year at the famous Odeon Theatre.
Just off Leicester Square is London's Chinatown. Filled with a wide variety of authentic asian restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets. You're never far from a hot pot or some of the finest freshly made dim sum.
Leaving Chinatown, we pass through Shaftesbury Avenue, which is home to a number of well known theatres, including the Apollo Theatre & Sondheim Theatre.
Walking down Shaftesbury Avenue we eventually hit a junction which most people will be all too familiar with, Piccadilly Circus. A junction built in 1819 with the purpose of connecting two roads; Piccadilly and Regent Street. Regent Street, originally built as a one of London's first planned developments, is lined on either side with a row grand buildings and is a major shopping street, filled with all the upscale, big name brand stores, including the original Hamley's store, Liberty of London department store and more.
Veering just off of Regent Street, we cut briefly into SOHO, where we walk through Kingly Court - a typically vibey courtyard housing a number of eateries - as well as Carnaby Street, another shopping street where you'll encounter a large number of fashion and lifestyle brands, as well as some unique independent stores.
Finally we make our way through Argyll Street - home to The London Palladium theatre - until we reach Oxford Circus, which intersects Regent Street and Oxford Street.

Enjoying your content and have subscribed. As a Londoner who hasn't been back in decades I am amazed (and horrified) by the changes. I used to know London like the back of my hand but it has changed so much. It would help if you could point the lens briefly at street signs to help me get my bearings.

Do the people ever try to engage you during these walks? Do you ever have to restart because they stop you? Love the rain walks the most. Very comforting.

I have experience, many people when filming, some throwing insults and even one guy attempted to knock the camera out of my hand. Best policy is to keep walking and ignore them.

Takes me back. I lived in Canonbury in 1976/77 and used to catch the train on the North London Line to Hampstead to meet friends in The Flask pub!
Love Canonbury. Ended up staying in some mansion basement near the square, totally by chance, while singing at a wedding and it was an area I loved to explore. I'd definitely go back. Bet it's changed since the 70s though.
