Your best bet is a TSA case from Alternate Mode… I wouldn’t fly it in any other case personally

It should be pretty much plug and play from what I remember the first day.. MIDI OUT of KAT> MIDI IN on Synth and output from there. I’ll say however for some reason my MX61 comes back with a MIDI Data Error from time to time that is kind of annoying, but usually a restart on the MX fixes it, so I wonder if this affects other synths as well. The quick start guide in the manual I remember was helpful on the first day setting it up. Hoping this helps!

Hey thanks! I've never found the contact sound to be that distracting personally. I've always used vibe mallets because I was used to the feel, but softer yarn mallets would have even less contact noise. With amplification you won't notice it much if at all. In 6 years of gigging my old kat, it never bothered me. The contact sound you get is about the same volume of what you would get from playing synth keys with your fingers and no amplification. Once amplified it's a non-issue. I would say maybe in an environment where the volume must be very very low only then would you notice it... maybe? But even then I wouldn't worry about it too much.. it's a very playable mallet instrument all in it's own. Hope that helps!
