Dash Control Unit - Modular Universal Retrofit System Powered by Arduino
This is the current status of my long running project as of December 2024. It is intended to modernize classic instrument clusters while keeping the classic aesthetic. I saw too many vintage cars with an iPad slapped on the dash, and knew there was a hole in the market. To be clear, this is still going to require a lot of ingenuity from the end user to figure out how to mount the components in their own specific application, but should not require any programming knowledge.

CAN Bus (currently using Haltech protocol, but can use Megasquirt, AiM, OBDII, etc)

I wanted more control over my ITB intake, so I decided to convert to drive by wire. I'm using an electronic throttle body for an LS3, hacked up to meet my needs. ECU is the Frankenso by RusEFI.

The little dude's first shred on his hand-built 14" balance mountain bike. It's long and slack with a 65° head tube angle, 14" x 2.2" Vee Crown Gem tires, and an Avid Elixir rear brake with 140mm rotor.

It's not big and it's not smoky, but it's 8 years in the making. Also, the limited slip diff appears to work. That 5.0 has adequate torque for shenanigans.
