Air New Zealand A320 - Melbourne to Queenstown, NZ - STUNNING Approach!! 🇳🇿 {Full Flight Report}
Join us for this epic flight on our journey to Queenstown, New Zealand. Our journey starts on an overcast morning in late September at Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport in Australia. The day eventually turns to full on rain, distorting some views from the window. However, we try to capture the essence of flying on a rainy day and the beauty of it. A beautiful break from the clouds on the ascent leads to an overall smooth flight. As luck would have it we end up getting a break in the weather for our approach into Queenstown. Just as we approach the west coast of the Island we begin to see the great peaks of the snow capped mountains. A clear approach allows us to shoot the views all the way in to one of the worlds greatest approaches and landings at Queenstown. Please enjoy!

Air New Zealand topped our expectations for an economy seat. We were incredibly impressed with the seats in row 4 which have the extra leg room. This Airbus A320 was fit out very well by Air New Zealand. Would highly recommend this airline. The service was world class. Serving a tasty meal on this short flight is far beyond many carriers. Never once did we pull out our wallets. Comfortable and clean, this airline is a must to fly.

We arrive at Cancún International Airport about midday. This is an incredibly busy airport. Slightly overcast but still a very nice day. We had a fair bit of time in the airport due to a slightly delayed flight. This allows for some extra plane spotting which is nice. An extra long taxi time allows us to really see the unbelievable size of Cancún Airport as we taxi past the different terminals....

I still find it incredible these aircraft can fly such a huge distance non-stop, this flight would be too much for me now. I struggle doing Australia to NZ as I am getting old and I am tall so the seats are incredibly uncomfortable in the standard section. I used to love flying but this puts me off as I push 50 years old
Great video, taking the same trip in 2 weeks and counting the minutes. any tips how to prevent major headaches? once plane hits te 30000 feet i get this horrible headache and it last until they descent
Reminding me of my trip to Seattle last month with UA too. My flight wasn’t passed through QLD, but went on North Island of NZ across Tasman and then straight to NSW flying passes Brighton Le Sands and U-Turn for landing through Sydney CBD. Thanks for the trip report, I filmed some reports for a very long time but didn’t continue since then. Wish to continue filming once I’m in the mood to do so.

Awesome video! Although I'm 6 months late to comment I just wanted to say thanks for documenting this, I was lucky myself to fly on both the older Airbus A321-200's and I was SUPER lucky to fly the newer refurbished A321-200 just this morning on the service to Toronto from Vancouver, super lucky as I believe that is the only refurbished model in the entire fleet of A321-200's as of now (correct me if I'm wrong as that is the last time I checked their fleet)... Unfortunately my flight was a short one as I would've loved a longer flight on the refurbished A321-200 only a short 4hr and 31min. flight.

I think the only way I could tolerate this time of flight is in 2 legs. LA-Tahiti, rest several days. Then on to SYD.

Very strange to fly over Brisbane on the way to SYD from LAX. Not the quickest flight path.

In March I flew from Toronto to Cancun, but for some reason we flew over Tennessee and Louisiana instead of West Virginia, the Carolinas, and Florida
That would have been a cool flight path as well!

Actually this flight was booked thru United Airlines. The first flight was operated by Air Canada. Yes it's very convenient as the bags go right thru, I would recommend them for sure, we really liked United. Cheers, thanks for tuning in! Enjoy your travels

We had a plane that was only 2/3 full. We were able to move around the cabin and have multiple seats to ourselves. Wasn't so bad. Enjoy your travels!

I wonder why they took such a long route for the taxi. Terminal 6 was near the exit where they vacated the runway but they went on a long taxi route to the west side.

It is Waterloo Regional....but if you have been there the airport is on the Kitchener side of town
