Yes, it's a really noisy engine.
Is that sound normal ?
I bought a 99 brand new and did that to race in the open classes. That thing was awesome. My cousin a pro said it’s the fastest lap time bike he may have ever rode.
I've looked at these for my Honda, including the steering stabilizer
Are they Japanese or Chinese manufactured?
Good question. They are Chinese manufactured in Guangdong Province, China
What would that bike cost if you built one for a customer?
We built this one for Eastern Dirt Magazine so all of the parts were supplied by the vendors/ sponsors. But if you had to buy everything, I'd say somewhere in the neighborhood of 15K.
Do you have a showroom to visit? Or are you strictly repair?
Hey, we don't really have a showroom, nearly all our builds are commissioned so they go home when they are completed. However, you can certainly come and visit and see the "revolving museum".
Nice work. Greetings from Charlotte.
Thanks Discophreak we love the work we get to do! It's always nice to know it is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback.

Great video. My understanding is you would get normal and gp gear both on this right
That is correct and it’s really easy to switch back and forth between the GP and normal shift patterns.
@ thank you so much. It really helps
Got the brakes on my BMW R100RT Classic fixed so about ready to bring you the ZX11 if you can take it over the winter.
Sounds like a plan! Can you bring it in the first week of December?
Hi dad 👨
Hey Bud! Fancy seeing you here.
Yeah
Yeah I like this video
One of the few HDs I have seen lately that I would actually like owning.
@@jettaylor1286 thanks! It really is a simple, clean build.

Love it that someone is paying attention to these lost beauties...I have both models myself
We feel the same way. We are all merely temporary owners of these bikes, it is our duty to look after them for their future custodians. It is this way with all the things we "think" we own.
Ek viejo de esa moto es yn triple cachon
It sounded like 2 Viz R in sync
I had 79 Daytona back in 82 when I was 18. I had a couple bikes back then but the RD was and will always be my favourite. The pinking sound from the chambers and zing from the engine never leaves you heart. I'm 59 now and I still literally dream about that bike.
It' crazy how they get into your soul...
What a waste of time
Sounds nice and crisp. 👌🏍💨💨
Beautiful bos
What exhaust do you have on the bike?? Did you have to mess around with the jetting?? Sounds absolutely mint. Is it just a slip on exhaust??
Sadly, I don't remember who makes the exhaust. We did have to change the jetting though. We went up one size on the pilot and one on the main.
@@gastonmotorcyclewerks okay thanks for the quick response. Safe riding mate 👍
I need a sugar momma 😂 would love to have of these 2 strokes! Sound amazing!
You can find those around 2.5-5k € in europe
The wizard wizarding
Who makes that headlight? I have to have one!
Thanks! We made it in our shop as a "one off"
Syahdu bunyi paip 2 stroke
My dad had one of those it goes 181 mph
Wtf
In his dreams
It's mostly fast through corners. Not really a top speed kind of bike!
What a beauty.
Thanks! We poured a ton of work, time, and love into its creation.
I'll be waiting for the ride.
When cutting up a classic bike goes right. I think the ac rds are a good platform too mod.
Dream bike
Awesome bike man, mind if I ask what exhaust setup you're running?
Sorry for the delayed response. It is a JL exhaust. I also installed the Zeeltronic ignition, which is key.
Having owned a newly acquired 1976 RD 400c, when it WAS 1976, I can attest to the thrills and fun you will have on that beautiful machine. 👍🇨🇦
I'm betting you wish you still had it!
Mean lean racing machine Very cool ✌️😎👍 RZ-350s
Beautiful and Badass 2 stroke, brother. The young kids of today don't know about beautiful vintage bikes like this. I recently bought a restored from the frame up, with the engine being taken off of the frame and being rebuilt 1985 Yamaha 2 stroke RZ 350 Kenny Roberts Edition Streetbike from Kaplan Cycles in Rockville, Connecticut. God Bless Brother. Much love and respect from New Orleans, La, The Big Easy! They don't make beautiful motorcycles like this anymore, and it's a damn shame. The motorcycles of today look like they are from Outer Space, not like Real Motorcycles, from the 70's and 80's.
I hear ya brother! I have had my eye on the RZ350 for a while, super fun. But never came across the right one. Then this presented itself and well... It is a hoot you ride. I find myself giggling every time I ride it!
@@gastonmotorcyclewerks Yep same, im 20 and wanted an RD350 but got a TZR250 2ma instead, worth every penny!
Who told young kids doesnt know about tzr i have tzr 125 💀🚀
Thanks for the wonderful comment! I always wanted a RZ350, such a great looking bike! Rock on Bro.

i never thought of doing this! thanks for the video
I know mines working because I have a puddle under my bike
If it's leaking, it has to have oil in it!
Nice! Where are you guys located? I had a 1981 GPz 550 with twin rear shocks. This one I believe is a 1982 or later considering it has the Uni-Trak rear suspension. Unless you modified it that way? Regardless, that’s a nice job you did there. 👍
Thanks Phil. We are in Gastonia, NC just west of Charlotte. Pop in sometime and say hi if you are in the area.
Beautiful bike....nice work
Thanks ✌️
Now THATS cool...nice job Benjamin.
Thanks Rikki! It was a really fun bike to ride and the new owner was stoked to get it.
450 engines are notorious for oil starvation....Should let it warm up at least a minute to ensure oil flow to the heads, beautiful bike, but treat this old lady with some respect!
Thanks reallyallgone for the words of wisdom. What you don't see in the video is the fact that the bike had already been run to allow the oil pump to fill the top end. ;-)
@@gastonmotorcyclewerks I figured as much! Was more leaving the comment for any potential 450/500T owners ; )
1975 was the first year of the GL1000.
You weren't kidding. Incredible work.
