Can't watch this film publicly anymore~ I melt down emotionally every time toward the end. The story and the music are SO powerful... BRAVO to Steven and John and all involved!

I have always loved E.T. and I still remember seeing it when I was just 10 years old with my dad and we seen 3 or 4 times in the theater and it’s still a classic.

I did the Boston duck tour last September 2022 and even took the wheel on the River Charles was a great couple of days there. Beacon Street the Cheers bar was disappointed with that though because it's only a prop really and nothing like you see on the TV

Ontario Mills used to look a lot funkier, now they made it look all bland. Though thanks to Rainforest Cafe the part of the mall around Neigborhood 5 and 6 still retains the old feel.

I'll never not tear up hearing the crowd's reaction to them taking flight. I saw this film in the cinema last year, and it's the only film I've ever been to that got an applause at the end. 40 years ago!!!!

What an extremely special experience that must've been to be there and hear the legendary John Williams conduct the live score to one of the greatest films ever made. 💖💖💖

What still hurts is those final five or six minutes, especially when E.T. lights the tip of his finger close to Elliot's face and says "I'll be right here.", before Elliot replies with "Goodbye."

I was there for this! A moment I’ll remember forever. Fantastic concert.

I cried for two movies. This is one of them, second was Schindlers List (especially the ending when they all stood outside and wished him farewell). Steven Spielberg and John Williams is a match maid in heaven.

What I fail to understand is why people would pay top dollar to hear JW conduct his own music, and TALK the WHOLE TIME! I don’t get that.

I really appreciate this post. it’s a shame JW haas picked up the tempo, but i supposed he was excited or had less time to pay the band .

The greatest 15 minutes of John Williams illustrious career. Transcended this finale to another level of emotion. Gets me every time. Absolute perfection.

The horn player is my son Eric Overholt. This is sadly the last concert we heard him play. He since been diagnosed with focal dystonia and has had to retire from the LA Phil. We pray some day he regains "his chops" and can play again. It was a marvelous evening his mother and I will remember forever.

Love this. Gotta say 1 thing though, I find it really disrespectful when people talk while John Williams is talking and the movie and orchestra are playing. I can see the crowd cheering and reacting as they should, but talking to someone? Come on people it can wait till its over. On a side note I remember when my sister took me to see this on my birthday when I was a like 13 I think. I cried when ET and Elliot were dieng and I litterley stood up and yelled HE'S ALIVE!!! When ET came to life! ET will always have a special place in my heart!
