Yeah, this was stupid. This is using the built-in recording and demo tools in the 'TeamRuns' mod by Dexz, it's insane....

Maybe the best PB while explaining the game ive ever seen. This is the level of commentary every marathon needs, though admittedly most jak runs have had decent commentary.
Glad you think so, it's one of the most enjoyable PB's I've ever had for that reason :)
insane man
it definitely helps. who needs shoes anyways, only causing problems
Thank you Stellar
You're a hero
This is what we've all been waiting for!
Modpack when?
tomorrow, like & subscribe
Thank you Stellar, over 20 years have passed and finally we have this issue sorted.
Finally, the burning question has been answered
How will i be able to concentrate on the gameplay with those dogs hanging out every second
How are you doing that jump I don’t understand
Which jump are you talking about?
Im assuming they’re talking about the roll jump which you just press r1 and x at the same time
goddamn goddamn goddamn
hypnostellah playing ctr noOob
GG. Good luck in future runs
ty!
I've watched you play a lot of Jak stuff, cool to see a run of one of my other favorite games GG
Probably my favorite crash game tbh
I like how both you and Jak took a deep breath at 9:57 haha nice run
SPOILERS NOPE IM WATCHING THE RIXLER
Bruuuhhhh that skip at the beginning was insane
Disclaimer, I know very little to speedrunning and the game. I've watched a few Ricky runs, but that's it. This said, did you die intentionally at 17:16 to get some obscure trigger/checkpoint or did you just miss your jetboard glitch hehe? Great run btw!
Just missed the hover, nothing intentional about it aha, tyty
Did not know it was that easy to go out of bounds, just keep on ollying into the stratosphere. Didn't even know you could basically do that infinitely.. Would love a video where you kinda explain how you do it all, if you'd be able to make a video like that.
I'm not sure what exactly you're asking for. If you wanna know more about the hover (what you call ollying into the stratosphere), I can recommend "History of the Hover Glitch in Jak 2 & 3" by ThaRixer here on TH-cam. If you want a full explanation on the whole Any% run, idk if that exists for this current route, but maybe I could make one at some point.
I really enjoy seeing you play man, that yorkshire biscuit tea can be seen in your play style
lmao
holeh moleh
sub30 no oob jesus christ what a time to be alive
So hyped to see the new skip
The goat back at it
The new skip, dubbed "Sugar Free Temple Skip" by those who found it, is a way to % warp to the end of the mission "Complete Monk Temple Tests", the second temple mission in the game, which is also only a few missions away from the end of Act 1. Previously in this category we % warped to the first full temple mission "Find Oracle in Temple" using the pretty new "Volcano Skip", after having previously % warped to "Destroy Eggs in Nest" using Cave Skip. Now, Volcano Skip is still in the run, but we go straight to the temple after the first arena fight, using strats used in regular Any%. The key difference in the new route, is taking an "invulnerability" state (we shorten to "invuln 1") all the way to temple, allowing us to rolljump through the ocean to it, before switching to a different "invuln 2" state which has slightly different properties, like being able to ledge-grab, activate cutscenes, activate side-missions. Keeping this invuln 2 state, we then do Volcano Skip slightly different to before, making sure to stop by a side-mission in the desert where we then go from "invuln 2" to a "mission failed" state, by activating and failing a side-mission whilst invulnerable. You'll see after this point Jak darkens when driving the Dune Hopper. After performing Volcano Skip, and reaching the end of the mission in the temple, dodging a cutscene trigger along the way, we then enter the oracle cutscene that gives you Light Jak Regeneration. However, because of our "mission failed" state, we can move in the black screen and die. After a lengthy black screen and skipping the cutscene that eventually plays, Jak respawns outside of the oracle room. This is the key breakthrough, as previously there would be no way to exit that room without either going out of bounds (not allowed) or exiting the intended way. Once we're outside the room, we can then simply climb up to the rotators, load in the nearby bridge by dying (after grabbing a checkpoint up there), and then cross it to the elevator on the other side, which takes us on to Subrails and the rest of the game. It's hard to say how much this skip saves after only a few days of playing with it, but it's at least 3 minutes. I have achieved sub 30, and to be honest lost what little motivation i had to keep playing Jak 3 after that. This run is not very good, at least by the normal standards of Jak 3 WRs. A 28:xx time might be on the horizon, but I'm happy to let someone else optimise this route for now.
This failed state should be dubbed invuln 3
honestly for all I know it could be
Finished watching the previous and now u got the WR. Nice strat gg
