Yes this season has only 8 episodes due to covid and Catriona Balfe (Claire) being pregnant herself at that time

This season was supposed to have 12 episodes, but it was cut short due to Covid, the other 4 were added to Season 7, so season 7 will have 16 episodes, the first 8 episodes of season 7 aired in June of 2023, the second 8 episodes are due to aire starting on Nov 22, 2024.

I love the song for this season I love the Gaelic. I especially love the two voices blended together. I don't want to think of season 8 but we are getting closer. The author of the books Diana Gabaldon has already said that the ending of Season 8 and the Outlander series will be different than the ending of book 10. Yes all things must come to an end and so we savor what we have right now in the moment. See you next week.
