Hi could you tell me if and what undercoat you used on the main body I think you were right in using camel yellow on the flying sub thank you
Tamiya white primer first then dusted with grey (very lightly).
I told Wayne the UK is now safe
Missed video catch up! absolutely love this! will be sharing this to my brother who is a 2001 nut! The pics from the filming miniature are truly a wonder to behold, British model making at its finest! (along with Alien) Must make it a mission to cross the pond one day and visit this museum, I think I'd love to see what other movie gubbins they have lurking away...anyway onwards!
👍👍
will you be doing a medusa model kit video
Hi Phil. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and Lou at Telford and I have to thank you for your enormous spontaneous generosity, for the Ktinga masks. You guys are inspiring and you are a gentleman. Safe travels and I hope you had a great time in Telford. 🤓🤗♥️
Great meeting you enjoy your K’Tinga build! Cheers! Phil
any news on a medusa video kit build and paint yet
No blending coat?
It has one. Just forgot to film it.
Phil question- the warp engine ights can they get direct 12or 9V to them then have the neg wire and the effects wire conected to the board and the engines LED's so as to give you full brightness on the warp engines and have the effect as it giesvto warp come on or would it not work?
Everything gets 12V - all the LED’s are resisted. It’s the programmable Arduino that is the issue. You can’t by pass it.
Hey Phil 👋 @(3:50) 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Showing your age there Phil Ha Ha!😂😂🤭🤗 Love the instruction -instructions from Lou! Ha ! Ha!😂😂😂🤭 Great progress on the kit it's coming together very nicely 👌 great work.
At 48:35 looking really fantastic Phil, Bravo! Your skillset has grown considerably in the time I've been following your channel; I commend you! Have fun in Telford and we'll see you in the next episode.
I must admit the Aztec decals are not that good. This is far better. I don’t like the finish with it being too shiny this is far superior.
Beautiful progress. Easily one of my favorite starship designs of all time. Right up there with the refit Enterprise. Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to check out further updates!
This is looking so good. Almost finished. You guys have fun over there.
wow, this third accent colour looks awesome, fantastic Phil, which airbrush spraygun did you use?
Iwata HC series
I guess that you are on your road/air trip by now. Hope to catch you and Lou at Telford. Have a safe flight 👍
Watching you and Lou doing your respective builds Phil is very interesting watching your slightly different methods but both achieving amazing results your work is out of this world Phil. 😀😀😀
Nice work Phil, you and Lou enjoy your trip and both of you be safe!!!!
More wonderful fun with sticky shapes... Getting very nice results, despite hanging half of it off your chair! I was almost expecting you to invent the 'Helios D body strap' with quick release 😆 My chum and I hitting the local Wetherspoons on Friday evening, 'The Thomas Botfield' cheap beer, half decent grub, boys on tour! Safe journey with no shenanigans in a 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' styley 🤞
Do you use what’s app? I can let you know where we are!
@@sprueVerse yup, I'll fling you my number over in an email
So glad you decided to go that extra step and add the accent color it looks so good. Hope you had a good time across the pond, and kept Lou out of trouble. 😀
Looking good, I will try to say hello when I'm at Telford, also noticed you've got an interview in the latest Doctor who magazine.
Great update, you seem to have done a lot and the paint work looks great.
I've been looking at shots of the original Generations model. This, although different, is surprisingly similar. Really works well. If you added a 4th colour it would be so close ro the original in quality! Great work.
So as I type, you and Lou are whooping it up! All to the good. This installment was a good highlight of the slow-n-steady needs of the model. Between you and Lou, you make it all seem to simple. Like hitting an arrow with an arrow all day long...
Great update! Have a safe trip! -John
I think I like your paintwork better than Lou's (all due respect to Lou, his looks good too but this is even better)
Looking very, very nice!
Really turned out nice, probably better than the actual stop-motion models ILM used! (sacrilege!) Base is lovely too, just enough of this and that to give interest, but not take away from the main subject... bravo! Right, onwards to find something else I missed 👍
Catching up with what I've missed... This kit was on my radar for ages, but never really materialised through my Japanese/Amazon shops. Now it packs quite a hefty price 2nd hand. Like what you've done here in part one, onwards to part 2
Nice work Phil, imagine how long it took dudes wearing space suits in space dock to apply the Aztecing mask before painting!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That shot over your head down onto the Nacelles really shows how gob smacking big this monster is. The nacelles are most of the length of my fore arm.
Was intrigued by these guys, after they popped up on Facebook many years back, so I went for a Cobb speeder from The Mandalorian (still in the stash!) Thankfully in my case the kits were ready to ship and the contact with the guys was very good. The quality of their parts is sublime, and I'm sure you'll enjoy building this as it looks very nice. As you say the business of taking money up front is a bit pooh, bought a Moose model from Weta Workshop which was $400+ and they wanted nothing other than ticking a box for pre-order - pay when its ready, simple... Well I've run out of videos, I'll have to back-track and see what builds of yours I have missed... Onwards
"have you turned the page?" classic! Onwards to the unboxing... Phil does an unboxing??? "nay, nay!"
Worthy work of a true Dummy... life's simple joys of peeling up pieces of vinyl... Onwards to part 10
What no sound installed??? Pah! you'll just have to run around the work shop making 'pew-pew' noises, stunning the dog and the missus. Looks very nice next to the comlock... and a fine intermission. Onwards to Part 9
Safe travels
Cool Banana's 😶
Maybe it's time for these kits to be produced in the US?? I know it's about costs etc, but surely if there's enough interest in said products then maybe that'll help keep costs down a little??
Hi Phil. Been a while certainly. But nice looking kit from what you showed us, I build part works, like your buddy Wayne, I wonder if any model companies who do part works by installment would be able to do these. I'm sure you're going to enjoy the build, you certainly had a long wait though my friend 😮
Thank you for sharing. I got rip off of $2700.00. I tried to get my money back for two years, my wife got pissed and got me the phrozen mega 8K. Now I print my own kits. Can’t wait to see you build this one. Hope you’re going to light this one. Love your channel. Your awesome.
Wow that was expensive! Look forward to seening the build!
It shoud have come with printed instructions and a parts listing, so that you could check that all of the parts were there!
Mask Therapy 101 by Dr. Lou Dalmaso. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Looks like a very good kit although not having instructions is not very professional.
Where did you get the awesome Star Trek Insigina Stand for this build?
Unfortunately they are no longer in business!
I have the Merlin ATAT the quality is amazing and I have ordered the U Wing from them also, I look forward to seeing you build your ATST. Do you think you will light it?
No lights in this one.
Looks like a nice kit. I would love to have it but My wife definitely wouldn't understand paying for a kit and keeping fingers crossed that at some point in the future it might show up. So I going to have to pick it up on eBay from a Window of a model builder who ran out of time.
Sorry I have to do another comment after finishing the video. What a terrible rip off, that is possibly a three or four hundred dollar kit wrapped up load of overly expensive unnecessary packaging and you don't even get instructions, what does a piece of paper cost.
Received mine as well and it's a fantastic looking kit! I built their AT-AT so I wasn't worried about the quality, but I agree the long waits can be frustrating. And definitely not a fan of having to follow along to build videos.
The size of that box/packaging is ridiculous when you compare it to the model size that you actually get. I wonder how much that added to the price
A very fair question. 🧐
