@@CreachterZ yep - the beauty in these early Beetles was in their clean and pure simplicity. Everything about their design was beautifully executed. I appreciate these even more than when they were just 10 year old used cars for $500.00. Their charm is very endearing.

Well it might seem that way today, but that's what a lot of people did back in the day when you wanted to protect your car if it was street parked. That's when these were $5-10k cars and no one spent the money to make them perfect. Lots changed since then and these are $50-100k cars so no more dash drilling.

You can tell Plymouth was not serious about performance with this car as they omitted basic dual exhaust. Wasn't even an option.
Well maybe, but they were just warming up to the performance segment here which offered the 340 in 68, 340 6 pack in 70, the 440 in 69 for the Barracuda, and 440 6pack and 426 Hemi in the E body by 1970. Not a bad list of motors for the performance sector.

That must have been fun. Yes, they were rare and more so today as few surviv. Very unique styling and lots of fun design details.

Sorry to ask, but this is by no means a classic truck. What makes it worthy of being auctioned off? What's so special about it. Is it one of a kind?
That's a reasonable question. BringaTrailer was originally established for racers, stuff that didn't run, and things that otherwise would need a trailer. Hence the phrase which became a brand "Bring a Trailer" so you could haul whatever it was you bought back home. And since you'd NEED a truck to generally do that - this is why. A great truck with low miles and ready to return service.

@@atwaterkent911 over 5,000 people saw this auction and it was an easy process selling on line. Resale value is high for late model trucks but there are a lot of these for sale at any given time with substantial dealer profit built into their overhead. The buyer got a great truck for solid price and didn't get gouged by dealer profit. .
I had the exact same truck. Mine had a 390 with a two barrel carb. Love the ignition on the left.
However encounter these Cars in his life he never forgets, they are cool cars .
