That wood looks like something you could only find in a rolls or bentley today.
D engine number = 1200 engine, 1600 engines beginn with AG, ACD, AL, B, AD, AF and AS. The VW Käfer with the original 1500 engine (H number) from 1966 - 1969 had front disc brakes.
What a plush way to be chauffeured around!
Indeed - the first owner was a woman who lived in PA and kept the car for 24 years before it was sold to the second owner. Pretty sure she was chauffeured through town and to various society events which helped keep the car in such great shape.

When you sit in one with that big sunroof open, it's fantastic and you just want to go on an adventure ! I guess that is why I don't want to sell my 57 oval, factory sunroof. I'm on the fence about the 36 hp, wrong year, but do I keep it 36 or put a 1600-1914 in it ? something for me to figure out when I get to it....nice car ! What is the name of the color ?

Stock for this car as built originally by Maserati. Perfectly fine for lower torque engines but you get into American V8 units with more grunt and yes, you will need the 5th bolt.
Beautiful engine. Like the dolphin gray valve covers What did it ended up selling for.
$7500.00 was the final selling price. I'm working with the same engine builder/restorer now on another complete 911 build.

Owner liked the more hot rod exhaust. The new owner has since changed it to a more stock exhaust.

The bike that prove Honda being a very serious competitor for the arrogant and ignorant German and English motorcycle manufacturers. What they believed to fall apart after a few hundred kilometers was a reasonable and durable construction for a striking price.

The engine VW 1500 c.c type H is the best engine ever made for VW.Our VW 1303,had engine directly from the factory of Volfsburg 1500 c.c H 88...(Number)I Remember in the high way 120km/H without pressing of accelerator max speed 155km.

@@CreachterZ yep - the beauty in these early Beetles was in their clean and pure simplicity. Everything about their design was beautifully executed. I appreciate these even more than when they were just 10 year old used cars for $500.00. Their charm is very endearing.

Well it might seem that way today, but that's what a lot of people did back in the day when you wanted to protect your car if it was street parked. That's when these were $5-10k cars and no one spent the money to make them perfect. Lots changed since then and these are $50-100k cars so no more dash drilling.
