Thanks for reading. As Martin can attest, CT simply likes to keep their drama in house. They have all the same stuff in terms of ego and excess that other bands have. Ken Adamany and Bun E Carlos told me everything I needed. If people go to the Rowan Littlefield wesbite they can use promo RLFANDF30 to get a disocunt
Great show Deke! Some really cool books there. Might need to throw a few of those on my wishlist!!
Thanks Sir. Lot's of good stuff here! I wonder what awaits us this year in regards to music and books??
The Geddy Lee one I still want to read, The Cheap Trick book....the book that really gets my attention is the Tragically Hip...just to know more about them. As far as Kiss...I read Ace's and Peters...I don't believe any of them but I believe them more lol. Great video dude.
KISS are certainly a funny bunch in dealing with each other. Thanks for dropping by!
Great show Deke!
Thanks for watching!
Thank very much, Deke - very cool.
Good stuff, Deke, and kudos to you! Sadly, I'm pretty terrible when it comes to reading books. Lately, I've been watching and enjoying a bunch of music documentaries and biopics. At least, it partially compensates but I'm under no illusion I'm still missing out!
Thanks for always checking out my channel Christian!
Nice one Deke!!
Thanks for the artwork!
I do have a regret not seeing them. I wanted to see them during Permanent Vacation...I liked that album a lot. Sounds like this one would have been cool as well...thanks as always Deke!
Thanks for watching. That PV Tour would have been great as well as GNR were the opener for a part of it. I miss the 80s 😂
@@thedistortionden Yea I miss that time as well. Wow...I didn't know they opened for them.
@ I just googled it to make sure and GNR opened the summer portion of the tour. Can’t trust the noggin all the time haha
@@thedistortionden I hear ya dude...I can't trust mine for yesterday.
Great show guys! I went and listened to a little of Saxon, Accept and Priest's latest albums and there is a similar sound. And they all sound pretty dang good.
@@2loud2oldmusic thanks for watching buddy! I guess I need to get with the times and listen to those albums now that you and Kev said so! Haha
That Kix album was one of best of the decade.
It’s certainly a great rock record. Like the fact that at times they had that AC/DC like vibe on certain tracks where at other times they would slam down some harmonica with some crazy guitar riffs! Thanks for commenting.
I have that Kix Rock Candy album on my wishlist. I have it on vinyl, but need the CD too!! That Tora Tora one is great!!
@@2loud2oldmusic it’s been cool revisits with both Tora Tora and KIx. Both are solid rock albums…
Nice stuff and i also buy a lot more cds than vinyl nowadays, they are just so expensive. Nice those Japanish editions, they are not expensive on amazon and they sounds really good.
The Japanese editions do sound very good and are actually cheaper than the North American produced copies. I'm probably up to close to 10 imports now. If you would have asked me 5 months ago that number was at zero. lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Love that Tora Tora album
It's a solid listen from start to finish. No skippers as Surprise Attack should have done way better back in 89. Thanks for watching...
Love the drums in this
Rock N Roll's best kept secret! "Jrock"
Good shit
Best singer in rock
Yo Dekes make the most of a bailerama situationzzz.. I had no clue this show was in town. Did the lead guy have that weird hairdo?
No he did not have the hairdo haha…. Still had the voice though. Interesting bill but MWH won the night!
Dekes can dance if he wants to ..
@@westwindsailer yeah but I will need Tylenol the next morning haha
Excellent Deke!!!!! Thank you for starting this off with a Beatle. I didn't get to see him until 2010 and hey...I will admit this...since I was 8 in 1975...I lived, breathed, and ate the Beatles. Their albums and books...when I first saw him...I had to fight tears...it was emotional... he played like 3 hours and played recent songs but he went through his catalog with one after another. It was like pictures coming to life...I couldn't believe it was him.
@@badfinger20 that’s a a great way of explaining it like pictures coming to life. When I caught him again in concert back in 93 he opened with “Drive My Car” and I told my Tbone “Here we gooooo….” Thanks for watching Dude!
@@thedistortionden Any time Deke! I can't believe I admitted I shed tears at a concert lol.
@ knowing how passionate of a fan you are of them that didn’t surprise me at all dude … that’s what being a fanboy is about.
Cool you bought the Men Without Hats vinyl! I didn't realize you had done that.
I can’t tell you everything all the time! 😂
Rats, another metal band I know by name only!😆 On a more serious note, I just listened to that new, previously unreleased single "Reach for the Sky" and, man, it sounds pretty good - I like the dual guitar action, and the vocals are pretty decent.😎 Deke, dude, you're turning me into a metal head!😆
Haha… my work here is done now that you’re a Metal Head Christian! “RFTS” is a great track and I’m glad you checked it out. Thanks for watching and commenting pal.
That was fun Deke...my wife has gone with me a few times to concerts. I talked her into seeing Bob Dylan and she loved the drummer lol...anyway...this is a cool concept.
@@badfinger20 haha she liked the drummer! Thanks for dropping by and commenting
Good stuff, gentlemen. It was also nice seeing Jex again. Cool, Deke, your wife went along to that Iron Maiden concert, even though she didn't know them. My wife's and my music tastes rarely intersect, so for the most part, we go to shows separately. Glad you had a great time! I see Maiden played "The Trooper", their one song I've coved on my blog to date - but, hey, it's a start! :-)
Great haul sir! I haven't heard that Plant one, need to check it out. Love to see the Kiss CDs. And yes, they have a ton of compilations!! And I am working on getting all of them...I've made a pretty good dent.
Thanks pal. I think you would like Fate of Nations as it came out during Grunge and did ok but should have done better. I know you have been making a dent of the KISS comps as your the King of the Nightime Collecting KISS world! Thanks for watching man!
Congrats on your catch. I have to agree with you "I Just Want You" by Ozzy Osbourne sounds pretty epic. Unlike Led Zeppelin, I've hardly explored Robert Plant's solo output. "29 Palms" sounds pretty good.
If you ever find the time definitely check out Plants solo material. Lot's of great stuff all through out the 80s. Thanks for dropping by Sir.
Nice pickups! I do recall the name I Mother Earth but it's been eons since I've heard them. They must have got a bit of traction beyond Canada. Speaking of CD stuff that's hard to put back together, that booklet for Ozzmosis is insane to fold back. I remember buying it when it came out and it taking some obscene amount of time to fold back properly.
@@BigBadBurch thanks for dropping by Sir. IME’s debut was produced my Mike Clink and that one probably did better in the U.S than the second album Scenery and Fish. Good to know I’m not the only one that gets stumped with CD foldouts! lol
Bruce acts like he is 18...great clip Deke
@@badfinger20 thanks pal!
You are #6
The original production was pretty bad but the songs were so damn good it didn't matter. A classic. As a kid i couldnt figure out why the prior album You Can't Stop Rock n Roll sounded better. Weird things happen during mixing/mastering sometimes.
Good point about the previous album sounding sonically better. Thanks for dropping by.
Maiden is one of those bands that vinyl is a plus so you can look at that amazing artwork. And great books there Deke!
Thanks for watching John. We appreciate the support! I think you would like the books I featured here and of course Maiden.
Great Scores there Kevin!! I think I paid $15 for that Ozzy vinyl. Sorry you had to pay $40 LOL!!!
🔥🔥🔥
That voice never changes.
And censored as always. And i wanna rock reprise is missing of course.
What is censored?
Talking like fuck mongoloid all of it on the live cd
Swearing words deleted
Fun stuff, gentlemen. Glad you had a great time at the Coney Hatch show, Deke. Nice these guys are so approachable. I dig Keb' Mo', Mudcrutch, Joni Mitchell and Thin Lizzy, based on what I've heard! 🙂
Thanks for watching. Kev was pretty stoked to get that Mitchell album for various reasons haha
What??? Deke is back in the CD game!! YES! Welcome to the club, brother!
Bahahaha… unless vinyl drops in price I’m kinda done with it for a bit and only will certain bands on vinyl from here on out
Sudrock!
Nice one Deke!!
Great show guys!!
What is the last track on the Live CD? I Wanna Rock reprise?
TS just go back into the song. I have no idea why… kinda weird sequencing especially after SMF…
Great haul there sir! I have the 6 CD box set of that Aerosmith greatest hits. It is awesome.
@@2loud2oldmusic thanks pal. That Aero live stuff is Gold!
@@thedistortiondenMy brother and I were in attendance at The Toys performance in Boston on Live Bootleg. It was solid!
Nice those japanish pressings. Cool you got them for a good price.
@@holspa Pretty psyched with these scores. Thanks for watching!
I like Billy a lot. It was my second concert ever with Nazareth opening up. I'll give it a try. I thought he would be around for decades when I heard him....never wear pink if you are a rocker!
Yeah, he took a huge hit with that video. A shame really as Billy released a lot of great stuff after that record. Thanks for watching Max!
Great Canadian band !!! Solid players ❤
Stay hungry rocks.
That looks great. Might need to get that one down the road. Great show sir!
Yes you do need it!
They should have recorded the Saxon Covers for B Sides.
Damn, that would have been a great idea. Thanks for dropping by!
I remember these guys growing up... I liked them I have to admit. The videos were better than most others. They wouldn't be arguing now unless they were successful lol.
Yes thats true.Amazing really they hit the jackpot in 84 and by 86 it was over for them as their headline arena tour tanked. Yet here I am in 2024 babbling on about TS! lol. This is a good album and your right there videos pushed them over the top. Thanks for watching and commenting Max!
Nice edition, will have to get it. Still my fave TS album. Thanks for showing it. The live cd came out before on vhs officially , and it was on mtv too. I have that vhs but its nice that it came out on cd too now.
Thanks for watching and commenting on the live show. I had no idea it had previously come out on VHS back in the day. It is a great set. Cheers to ya!
