LOL im 13 my mom worked there my dad kinda worded there the little boat spiiny thing by the pond he built the deck for that I cut dried corn stocks (flauttershocks) for the spooktacular event my family knows the owner perty well. and I'm going tomorrow! I can smell the oil and grease of the rides now. I've only have had one bad time at the park we was getting on the train and someone did not go in line and just hopped on and my sister said it was her when she did not, but I got cussed out for it by the train driver, and a lady so I belive the train driver don't work there no more

Nice of you to pass through the tri state area. Camden Park is roughly 30 minutes from where I live. It has been around for many decades. I am surprised to see that there are still people out there brave enough to go on those rides.

The horror as a child of the sky lift with minimal safety belts able to slip to a broken ankle or leg. The fun horror of surviving the Big Dipper Roller Coaster as old nailed boards creaked and groaned to the max capacity of the 100 year old coaster. The best one that doesn't exist no more was the pioneer scene on the train ride of a group of native American firing into a house of settlers firing back with muskets that were powered by propane to give off the loud reports of simulated gun fire. The tommy gun alley and the never disappearing red star or the haunted house. I love Camden park I wish they would repair the Big Dipper. ...

This place looks like the entire state, all in one tidy area. Worst of all 50 states.

I live fairly close to Camden Park on the Ohio side and used to go there a lot as a kid. I haven't been there in many years though. Of course I also have King's Island which isn't too far that I went to as well and occasionally made the trip up to Cedar Point. I don't remember how it looked when I was a kid in the 90s but sad to see it kinda run down.

IT puts me in the mind of what Lakeside was.

The haunted house us one if very few if it's kind left.... it's basically like a small coaster inside.

We lived 5 minutes away from Camden Park when I grew up , I remember for 5 bucks you could get an all day hand stamp and ride anything , it brings back better memories from back in the day ,thanks for the upload

Ir should be a historical landmark and brought up to date with the eatery turned into a museum for rides that are long gone. As a kid I loved going there until I was introduced to PKI.

Never been there but looks fun for young kids. A few hundred thousand $’s would do wonders in cleaning it up and rejuvenating it.

Camden Park was really booming in the 1980s when I grew up. Fires have claimed the roller rink and the bumper cars that were beside the entrance and the train station respectively. I think the original carousel was sold and replaced with a smaller one. I believe there was an accident on the Spider ride that was next to the scrambler. The Haunted House is only one of two surviving rides of its type. The path between the scrambler and the cafeteria used to go down to the Camden Queen sternwheeler boat that took people out onto the river and back. The arched picnic area used to be packed with families having parties. There used to be Indians and pioneers shooting rifles at each other along the train ride, there was a spinning hurricane ride, and there used to be a steel single looping coaster where the chairlift ride sits that went forward and then backwards thru a loop. I can’t tell you how busy this place was back then.

Born and raised in southern WV and have been to Camden Park several times over the years. A lot of awesome memories. My family and I live in the northern part of the state now because of my job so it’s much closer for us to go to idlewild or kennywood now. May plan a trip to Camden park though for old times sake. Thanks for the memories!!

My mom took me there probably 25ish years ago. It was falling apart then.

Went there alot in the 80s and 90s as a kid took my daughter a few times in early 2000s.its a local landmark but its so neglected.i miss te DodgeEm cars and the Hot Cat and the Thunderbolt Express.The Haunted House is a shell of what it was.there was a loud buzzer at the end that startled me every time.wouldnt say scared tho.the train ride used to have a cowboys and indians scene that creeped me out worse than anything.i always wondered what they got up to when the park was closed

A lot has changed because I'm sure they don't have the income they used to but it's great that it's still an option to take kids to
