In all seriousness, CD-i emulation is supposed to be a massive nightmare to implement on account of most of the games requiring an MPEG decoder card, which I doubt even NERD could implement in a satisfactory manner. This difficulty in emulation most likely isn't good for CD-i preservation whatsoever. What makes things worse for CD-i preservation is that actual CD-is kind of self-destruct if their RTC batteries die (yes, really) and the only way to replace the battery is to delid one of the chips (yes, really) so those stupid things can't even preserve themselves.

If this were actually to happen I would actually be pretty hyped. I never got to play any of these games. I don’t think it ever will happen though.

I actually have the pleasure of owning a CDi and I must say half of the consoles unplayability is the stock controller that came with it. Once you get a regular pad that looks like a traditional gamepad and don't have the strain of clicking a TV remote controller for an 'action' game they are a lot more playable, and yes I include the zelda games in that description!
