Hi, danke für das Lob! Also die Daten sind noch alle vorhanden (mehr oder weniger versteckt). Theoretisch ist es möglich das mal in die Simulation zu packen. Problem ist dabei nur die Genauigkeit bzw der Aufwand der vorab notwendig ist. In unserer CFD Simulation verwenden wir vereinfachte Geometrien für z.B. das Fahrwerk, da dort der Detailgrad zu hoch ist. Heißt man müsste dieses verinfach nachkonstruieren, genauso wie die damals noch größer Reifen, die Kühler und auch ein vereinfachtes Rahmenmodell. Vielleicht ergibt sich das nach der Saison. @@TheBlox123 Danke für die schnelle Rückmeldung! Macht euch keinen Stress. Nach der Saison seid ihr platt und dann ist nach der Saison auch schon wieder vor der Saison ;) Wäre halt mal interessant zu sehen, was ein "ohne Paket" Fahrzeug an Luftwiderstand unter ähnlichen Prämissen hat. Bin mir aber nicht mal sicher, ob der Diffusor es als CAD Zeichnung ins Fahrzeug geschafft hat :D Viel Erfolg bei den Rennen!

@@donny6668 and he's not even right, on a lap, the top speeds will be about equal or the shift kart has a better top speed, but the Formula Student car will gain back with the fast acceleration. Also I think the Formula Student car had better aero's, and will win time in the corners.

You can't exactly build up much speed on a cart track either...

The purpose of this competition is not about 'racing', but about testing the ability of university teams to build racing cars that can perform well in a variety of situations.

@@RicardoGarcia-pm4nf OK, that makes sense, but wouldn't the test be "better", meaning wouldn't the abilities of the car and it's limits be better shown and tested were the test conducted on a bigger track? I guess there are limitations when it comes to the location and the price of renting a race track.

@@blaze3766 quite the opposite. If the track is narrow with mixes of slow, medium and fast corners, you can better test how the car behaves, it's acceleration, traction and easiness for the driver to handle while still pushing. The bigger the track, the more forgiving. Also, this is a test to see if the car can hold together while under pressure... Remember this is built by students, not a car manufacter 🙂

@Kai Bel yes, I think you should rather compare it to a good kart, I mean a FS car is small while FE cars are very big, also what you meant played a role. But what I wanted to say is, those FS cars accelerate extremely quick, have some aeoro and go 100kph, on a kart circuit with a lot of corners and some small straights an FS car is faster than a prof kart

​@@marcobrancorsini2479 you'd be surprised, these cars run in bellow 300kg quite often, whilst having up to 80kw (well, unless someone decides to remove the limiter outside of a competition), they are absolute rockets, and the cornering on a proper one can be terrifying

well...in terms of that this cars are bult by german engeneer students... yes, they would never do this if it wouldnt help.

Slower the speed, the bigger the aero needs to be to take affect. So it probably does help.

We are using the integrated accelerometer of our ECU, which is placed beneath our driver's seat.

Those are university teams sponsored by bigger manufactures. They build the cars on their own in teams. I dont think you can paticipate alone with your own car

Formula Student Hungary was an "unique experience". Usually Formula Student is super professional and the organizers take great responsibility to let teams ride on courses that are safe, even if something breaks. Therefore, most Formula Student events are hosted on racing circuits like the Hockenheimring, Red Bull Ring or Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya

The small section starting at 4:56 is supposed to show some other amazing teams + show what Formula Student has got to offer as a whole - which is a combustion competition, an electric competition + the recently introduced driverless competition. Wir wären sofort dabei! Allerdings sind solche Aktionen nur mit sehr viel Organisationsaufwand umsetzbar, weil wir als Formula Student Team lediglich an Formula Student Events teilnehmen. Die Strecken sind dann eher auf Beschleunigung als auf Top Speed ausgelegt, weil auch unser Rennwagen maximal 120km/h erreicht. Nicht präparierte Rennstrecken zu fahren, würde für uns also lediglich als Marketingaktion Sinn machen

Soweit sind wir im Moment noch nicht :D wenn wir auf Messen unseren Simulator dabei haben, können Interessierte das Spiel über Lenkrad und Pedalerie in einem unserer älteren Fahrzeuge steuern. Auf dem Bildschirm ist dann allerdings immer noch das Originalfahrzeug aus dem Spiel
