i watched this video for the first time in like junior year of high school. im 22 in my senior year of college and i come back to this vid at least once a year because there's so much good shit about truly understanding yourself and being okay with who you are. it astonishes me to this day how much this vid has impacted me and i think scar has a really great way of words in this, especially when referring to the idea of "self" and how to love that

Scar has always emanated so much charisma and intelligence. I've been a fan for a long time and I've always looked up to him. I'm going through a bad breakup now, and some of the worst pain is the "If only I were funnier, more charming, better looking." In a funny way, it's reassuring that even somebody I respect and like as much as Scar can get rejected in a serious relationship. Rejection, evidently, isn't just for losers like me. It's for everybody... and so maybe I'm not a loser. Old video I know. But thanks for this Bobby.

I don’t even know what my journey is but I have had a rollercoaster of a ride going through it. I’ve been to 3 different schools and always wanted to do well in every class without catching a break but often I find myself being unproductive because of that. The thing that I will probably never get over is how dull Gen Eds can get, I just want to pick a major and get right into its classes and labs. At the end of the day, if I find myself at a job I never thought I could have but am happy, then my life is set! So can anyone else’s. Have a good day.

its funny cause just moments before he said his mom adviced him to love himself i was thinking the same. I can love myself/accept myself as I am, regardless of perceived imperfections or flaws instead of beating up or downing myself over them cause that's no fun. trying to embody unconditional love. newfound respect for scar after this video, for his insight and the fact that he was into oblivion ha-ha. I remember juking horses into the corner of the pen and leveling up my hand to hand on them . good times indeed

This story touched me pretty deeply; I went through some pretty rough depression at my first college (luckily I'm at one that fits me much better and my mental health has improved tremendously). I failed several classes; there were days I couldn't get out of bed, I went days without eating or showering, and the worst part was that I felt completely alone. Scar and others sharing their stories really help to break down the walls of isolation and prove to people they're not alone, and I really appreciate it.
