Its a pity that there is not more new holland silage harvesters around. Back in the 70s and 80s they were everywhere

Looking at that harvester it's picking up more grass than any self propelled silage harvester back in the 80s

Nigel Clats it’s just grouping really, the augers slightly condition it but nowhere near as much as a proper conditioner. It’s really designed for cutting and grouping crops that you don’t want to lose the seed head of such as whole crop. We were just trying it in grass to see what kind of job it made.
I thought that,I'm looking at a set of Krone triples with the same system,for the same reason. Cheers.
