Of course, it wasn't helpful. Amazing how many women think that not sleeping with or respecting their husbands contribute to infidelity. If you have ever referred to your husband as one of your children, you deserve to be cheated on. Never let someone treat your husband better than you do.

I can't imagine blaming the one who got cheated on, unless I'm much more involved in the person's life, and recognize the signs of problems from both sides. I'd NEVER go there without reason. And I'd only suggest counseling if it's been established that the couple both want to try work past it together. Still, I wouldn't say it's the faithful partner's fault. 🤦‍♀️ When I say I know more... I've known men and women who have abandoned their spouses in every way except actually leaving. No intimacy, physical or emotional. Most interactions are negative, nagging, and judgmental. The one who cheats finally looks elsewhere for the things they aren't getting at home. I would personally handle such a situation differently. But because I've witnessed this too often, I would feel compelled to point that out, IF I considered myself a close enough friend to be so brutally honest. I've been cheated on, and know how you go through a personal inventory as part of the healing process. I certainly wasn't at fault in my case. And I consider most people to be in my sort of situation. I only mentioned the other option, because it has come up enough to mention.
