I just wanted to check in with you to make sure you are ok and not affected by these terrible weather events in Valencia and the Malaga Province, Alora. It’s awful to watch the news and so sad. I did this today. Great video. My top tip is if you haven't a car pay the extra and get the complete tour from Malaga with coach there and back and a guide. Was 50 UK pounds. Am glad I did it worst bit was the end but a lovely guide is employed just to help you over the Bridge.

Pro tip for rio chillar. Use trail running shoes with good water drainage, low stack height and decent grip. For example acteryx norvan sl, adidas terrex speed pro, salomon s/lab alpine, vj spark etc. High and soft trainers won't be as stable in rocky river floor nor as comfortable when soaking wet. Good running or hiking socks made of polyester or wool are also a must!

Live in Arroyo. So many great restaurants that are very affordable but missed. I love Granier, however there is a restaurant next to it the Carriteria (excuse my spelling) that is probably the best in Arroyo and he missed it. Seconds away is El Cao, and of course the Plaza Espana, and you have just started. Shame. Always go for local knowledge, ask the locals.

Lovely video. Just a note…. Muslims crossed into Spain in 711 so there is no Visigothic rule in most of the 8th let alone 9th and 10th centuries especially in the South. Great shots.

We are in Alora at the moment, lovely place, tried the Porota after watching your video, what was served up to us was nothing like what you got. It was absolutely vile, it looked like dog sick and tasted disgusting, two mouthfuls was all I managed 🤮
