Porsche Boxster Wind Screen Hack

Inexpensive way to add mesh wind screens to your Porsche Boxster.
Thank you very much for this I have subscribed to your channel! You’ve saved me a lot of money by doing this!
epic
When removing the passenger airbag there is an extra 10mm bolt in the middle. You have to get with a light in the footwell with a light. It’s easy to see and you will need a long extension to crack it then wind it out with a socket. Hope this saves you the hours I spent trying to lever something out that would not budge.
Although I must say these series of video have been awesome and helped me so much. Thank you for making it.
I guess depending on what year. Clearly 2 bolts on mine. 2 brackets 2 bolts.
What a great video thanks so much
Helpful thanks
Where I could find a DIY seat cover kit?
Love the video. Giving me the courage to take my 1997 apart. Need a new dash, mine has developed bubbles.
thanks for making this video
Thanks! Very helpful. I had a feeling the hog rings weren't the easiest way to make the insert pleats pull tight. I plan to use baling wire.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Thank you for putting together such a great video. I had to replace my dash due to damage cause by a previous owner. Your video took me right through the process of dashboard removal. The video was bang-on accurate! Thanks again for putting out this video.........it's gold!
Thanks for making this video, you have helped me massively 👏
stop eating while you speak
What type of mesh did you use? Appears to be metal, haven't seen mesh like this in the home improvement store, not sure where to find it?? Thanks for the video, won't cost much to try it.
I purchased mine from Home Depot or Lowes.....can't remember. Google perforated aluminium sheets. You'll find it.
Well done, thorough and articulated documentation, very helpful, thanks for the share!
Outstanding tutorial! Great video and explanation. I've had most of the peripheral pieces off before, and now watching your videos gives me the confidence to remove the entire dash. Thanks!
Thank you!
If you want to hook these up using the factory switches let me know. Have a solution for it
How long did it take you to remove the dash. I am going to swap mine for a leather one.
Probably 4 to 6 hrs.
Just went through that pain in order to replace the evaporator. A $40 part that takes 3 days to replace. I took the opportunity to paint the dash horizontal trim pieces to match the alumalook of the shifter, door and glove compartment handles and to clean the pieces of degraded foam from the inside of the ducts. A job that was 5 years overdue anyways. Wish I would have stumbled upon your video sooner (sigh) :( Great video though! I drew a picture of the dash on a large piece of cardboard and punched each hole on their location. It did helped tons to get everything back together where it belonged.
annoying music.. would rather you narrate..
Composed, arranged and performed by me....use the mute button!!
You have to show the finished product. Did you repaint the dash?
No....swapped for a black one with glove box.
Nicely done! Lets see part two - thats the bit I haven’t done yet :)
Here's part 2
Load part 3! Great work!
I'm getting to it.
Do part 3 yet?
Coming soon...
