Culling My Taiwan Bee Shrimp Tank

This tank used to be a dedicated Black King Kong tank. It has become a bit mixed over time with Blue Bolts and not really culled very well. I intend to cull the tank heavily this year and get it back to an Extreme Black King Kong tank with potentially one stripe Black King Kongs.

Unfortunately, my German Blue Rams eggs which I transferred into a shrimp tank on an Indian Almond Leaf didn’t survive. Shrimp do eat fish eggs! Moving German Blue Rams Eggs Into A Shrimp Tank

My German Blue Rams have spawned again, this time onto an Indian Almond Leaf. I’m moving the leaf into my shrimp tank to see if they have a better chance of hatching out. Last time they laid eggs they ate them on day 2. Testing out a couple of things here, if I can hatch the eggs in a shrimp tank and whether or not the shrimp will eat the eggs or look after them? Aqua One TH300 Titanium Aquarium Heater Review

A brief review of the Aqua One TH300 Titanium Aquarium Heater which I’m using in two of my tanks. Really like the aesthetic look of the heater in the tanks. The digital thermostat control and thermometer are also very easy to use and read. So far so good. Definitely an upgrade on glass aquarium heaters.

An update on the 6 GBR fish added to my tank this week. All seem fairly settled which is great. There’s also an update on the new tank which is now the Red Calceo Golden Dragon tank. With the lone male GNR from my first pair of Rams. Plus an update on plans for 2025. Thanks for watching.

Adding 6 new German Blue Rams to my planted tank. Arrived today from MicroAquaticShop in Sydney. Fish look great, locally bred, fast shipping and packed really well. I had to evict the current male GBR as he’s quite a bit larger than the new fish and didn’t appreciate the new inhabitants. He’s now in the Taiwan Bee tank. Thanks for watching.

Update on integrating my German Blue Ram pair into my planted tank. Unfortunately the female ram didn’t make it. The male ram has settled in well and is looking in good shape, so not water quality I’m assuming. I’ll be on the lookout for another mate for my male and will update when I find one.

Hi, tank is kept at 28C and ph low 6-6.5 You could try diet. I feed bloodworm and frozen brine shrimp 2-3 times per week

I AM from the united states I have a pair in my 40 breeder that have not breed for me what temperature to you keep your tank at i keep mine at 82 F pH 6.0

Thanks for your comment! Yes, I think the tiger shrimp are more hardy overall, but they’re all very adaptable. No water changes or remineralising in the Taiwan Bee tank for 6 months and lots of new shrimplets in there too.
Love the vids. Regarding temperature, from what I know tiger type caridinas are more tolerable to warmer water. One of the known tiger type caridina habitats in China is actually a swamp which experiences pretty drastic temperature fluctuations with summer temperatures over there reaching the high thirties/low forties.
Shrimp are doing fine so far. Is a cull tank for my shrimp so curious to see how they go. I’ve seen various accounts saying 28c is fine for shrimp.
Rams need 82 F or higher, those caridinia prefer 78 F or lower
