    Wow you are in deep with this project but i love watching the process. It makes me want to do the same but my gc is my only daily. It always confused me why some don’t have a cabin filter and then i question how it gets filtered or where does all the outside dust/debris go? My hvac air smells kind of musty but after seeing you pull that monstrous nest out I’m hoping it’s not that lol 😂

    glad to see your feeling better. that was a huge mess those mice are not friendly with cars. glad to see you got that out of there. i would paint that bar black or whatever color your making the car at the end. i know you won't see it but atleast you know its painted awesome. glad to see your videos and your getting further on. love the videos. keep up the great work and can't wait to see it done i would say 65 to 70 videos until it's done. can't wait to see it done and driving and sounding like a suby again

      Thank you Tommii! I feel so much better man last week was rough I know you know how it feels when you and the children are sick... the worst part is the barn always has mice around so preventing that is almost impossible but I am going to start being more proactive about it as time goes on.. because the way my 350z had one last year was TERRIBLE... I think I will be spraying that bar a nice black and with some rust preveention paint so it stays nice and crispy clean! I think 65-70 is probably right just to be on the safe side! and you and me both man we can get on a live stream and drive the car together to celebrate!

    Good to see you're feeling better! The scope of the project is much clearer now. There's a lot of tough bodywork to get through. Thankfully the firewall is totally intact. Those rear fenders are going to make an interesting set of videos lol. I hesitate to say we're at the halfway point, but I'm sure the car will go back together faster than it came apart. It's just a matter of getting the body repaired and painted, and doing something about the engine. Could take awhile, but it'll be worth it.

    • @JoezGarage
      @JoezGarage 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      you are spot on Brendan.. its kinda like the halfway point because we practically have the entire car into Pieces.. but there is still alot of the "difficult" work to be done.. making panels and then all of the body work ontop of that.. the engine too. so maybe not halfway but your also very right how putting it together will be alot quicker I imagine! thanks for always watching and your incredible comments!

      I hear you. Thanks for your criticism I’ll try to incorporate that into my video next time. But a lot of my video is talking to build a presence. It’s not just about the work and car. I’m sorry if you did not enjoy maybe give it another chance down the road!

    I used dry ice on my 2.5rs and the hardest part was where the sound deadening was on top of the seam sealer. I’m in the same boat as you dealing with rust repair to build my dream car

    • @JoezGarage
      @JoezGarage 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I totally agree man where ever the seams were it was so stiff and hard to chip off I’m gonna go back with some tools and knock it all down and re seam seal! Love to hear your having the same experience can’t wait to hear more about your car! Thanks for watching

    Remove as much sound deadening as possible. At the very least, you'll have peace of mind that there is no rust under sound deadening you left. Also, modern sound deadening is quieter and lighter (better tech advancement). Good work.

      @JoezGarage 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey Victor! Your package is on the way I have a tracking number for you! Also man this is exactly what I was thinking. Removing it will give me confirmation there’s no rust underneath. And then I figured newer more modern material Is better quality! Even tho it will be much more work I really want to do the best I can! Everyone so far has agreed. Thank you for watching and your comment!

    I was surprised how clean the inside was after seeing how bad the rust was on the outside, that dry ice worked a charm. I could be talking out of my bottom as i don't know for sure, but the Impreza was a rally car, the rally car i dont think would have had that black stuff so the plugs would be easy to get to for drainage, thats all i can think of off the top of my head, wouldnt mind seeing content on the chevy so yes please. I'll email you to get the ball rolling with those earbuds lol

      Thanks Peter 🙏 . I have sent out all the other winners and I just need to find the right place to take your set!! Also I think that’s probably a great guess as what the holes were for that would make plenty of sense! There defiantly had to be a reason. I thought maybe it had to do with some drainage at the factory but then they covered it up with plugs because they thought that was better but legit each hole had rust issues…. I have a great video series lined up for the Tahoe but I will be making it much shorter maybe like 2-4 parts for the entire series so it’s more focused! I’m currently working on filming and doing all that work so stay tuned my friend! Thanks for watching man!!!

    Man, some serious science going on here. I knew about dry ice blasting to get rid of rust, but this is new to me. Learning something new every day :)

      Hey there! I totally love the dry ice blasting and wish I could afford that maybe one day! But the same goes for me! I had no clue this was so legit and a viewer told me to try it out and was I shocked how good it worked! The chemical reaction or whatever science it was worked extremely well! Thank you for watching and commenting!

    What an awesome trick, I never heard of that use of dry ice, and I have done several things with it. I agree what good is a drain hole if it's sealed over.

      Hey Elad! It was such a cool experience, no pun intended!! 😂 seriously man I had no clue either. It’s always so cool when I learn something, test it out and it works! Dry ice is actually so interesting. Also exactly why the heck would those holes be there?! I just don’t get it. Maybe something to do when they manufacture the cars and then they just seal it but it really just wouldn’t make sense either way. Thanks for always watching and your package is on the way! I’ll send out a tracking number in the morning!

      I know right! I’ll have to give credit where it’s due another viewer on the channel told me about this a few months back that he had great success using the dry ice instead of the heat and I was amazed when I did this! So happy I was not the only one who didn’t know!! Thanks for watching Aris

    Hay Joe Happy New Year, after you remove all of the team sound deadening, and fix all of the rust on the interior floors, you should scuff the whole floor and coat it with encapsulator and then do boom mat spray-on sound insulation on the full interior, including the underside of the roof.

    • @JoezGarage
      @JoezGarage 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey Happy new year! I actually have not herd so much about this boom mat spray I am going to have to take a look into that because it sounds too good to be true! I would love to do that tbh it’s the way I’m headed if I’m capable ! Thanks for the advice!
