Husqvarna 545 Mark II
The 545 Husqvarna has been a great purchase so far. If I was looking for a bigger saw, it would be hard for me not to buy Husqvarna again. I will look at other brands such as Echo and Stihl because they are great powersaws also.

@outdoorsinthe608 thank you Jeremiah ❤️
Intelligent way to drive, "user engagement." I prefer black facing out.
That’s a stout little saw for sure Kenny!! 👊🏻
@TwinCityFirewood Genin and I call it "the little weapon." It's fast, light, and great on fuel.
Hey Kenny , good to see you . Very nice saw . The weather here this morning was 55 . It feels great . Have a great week my friend . 👍🏻🪵
@inthebackyardwithdel438 Thank you, Del. Good to hear from you always. The cooler weather is coming, it feels good.
I’m a diehard Husky man Kenny. I own 7, dating back to an L65 I purchased in 1978. I have the 550xp mk2 which is the same basic saw as your 545. It’s the saw I grab 95% of the time… great saws!
@oldguyfirewood you're probably another reason I chose to stay with Husky. I pay attention to what others use. I take that into consideration. I think the new 562 would be a great addition.
Cool little Case Tractor!
@oakiewoodsman be cool to have. He did a great job restoring it.
How did I miss this!?! Congratulations on the Grand Baby!
@@oakiewoodsman thanks Joe.
Gosh Dang! Did I understand that correctly? The Husqvarna stuff is more expensive in your neck of the woods? Have you figured of if you can run that 261 yet? I love my 545!
@@oakiewoodsman hey stranger, lol. I was thinking about this last night. Might put something together about this topic.
Nice easy to handle saw Kenny. I have several Stihl, Husqvarna and Echo saws. I like them all. If someone would take the best from each brand and make a new one, it would be the ultimate saw. Happy sawing!
@JelenOutDoors a collection of saws would be cool to have for sure. I think the toughest saw I've ever had is my ms250. It was even underwater at one point, lol.
I’ve ran a 545 and it’s a great saw! Hope ya get some cooler weather so you and Winston can get back in the woods soon! Take care Kenny👊🏻
@@toddsoutsideagain I want frost, I have lots of energy when it's cold 🥶

Nice saw. Find one you like and stick with it!
@@remoteandrestless I'd buy another one tomorrow. Very good powersaw.
It looks like a great saw. I have not had the chance to use one of those
@GardenTractorBoy it works well Joseph. Light, powerful, and low vibration. Great on fuel.
Hey there Kenny, another fine video my friend. Living in the city I don't have much use for a chainsaw but have had several over the years. Being a Mechanic there is something I learned many years ago. That is to "purchase quality equipment". Paying a little extra in the beginning pays off when you are working on a big job that you need to finish in a timely manner. Being miles back in the woods would surely be a pain with a saw that wouldn't start or perform well. Good decision. Keep the videos going.
@goldwingmoments that's it right there. It has to work, or I'm going home empty. So far it hasn't let me down.
That is a peppy saw! Nice work. Build a campfire and relax.
It is peppy. I love this all round well rounded saw.
Excellent tips Kenny. Sometimes these things are a bugger to get going. I’m not really any brand guy but it has to start and be reliable. Thanks for sharing my friend. Have a good one.
@maintenancewithmike same here, if it works it the best saw ever. So far it's been working great.
The Husqvarna is an excellent saw it has served you well for sure. I enjoy my 450
@@fatefarmspa it has Tom. I really don't need anything bigger. Our trees are only average size. Maybe a 562, that's it.
@@OpenAirAdventure the big stuff is too much work anyways 🤣
@fatefarmspa I saw that in Todd's and Jeremiah's video, no thanks. To hard on the body.
You gotta run something like this Tom!
Good vid, Kenny. I don't think the little saws get enough credit. I used my dads og husky 45 he bought new until a year ago. It cut 4+ cords a year for over 40 years. It's worn out, and parts are a bear to find.
@firewoodathome hey Bill. You're right. The little saws are impressive, light and powerful.
Good morning Kenny, The 545 is a nice looking saw. The newer saws have some nice features that my Husqvarna doesn't have and the specs say it is almost 2 lbs lighter than mine. I have had my 455 Rancher for about 15 years and I treat it terribly but it still runs like new. Question, I am curious about the zip tie on the handle , have a great week, Ben 👋😎👍🍻
@whenworkisplay everyone I know with the rancher says the saws are great. The 545 is a comfortable weight, plus a good balance with an 18" bar. The zip tie is set for length at 16" off the bar. I just have it turned in out of the way.
@@OpenAirAdventure awe, it's a guide 👍
@whenworkisplay it works pretty well. I can judge it on my own most times. But as the rounds get bigger, they throw me off, and I end up cutting them too long for my stove.
So you’ve turned to the dark side

It cut through that wood like butter🪚 Making me jealous, lol😁 I have to sharpen my 4 inch electric chain saw tomorrow and I see your chainsaw and now I'm sad☹

I recently bought a 562xp and love it but I also still have my model 51. It has been a solid saw for limbing for many years.
@adirondackwoodsman Ah man I wish I still had my 51
How's she goin'? I had a Husky 455 Rancher and thought it was the best saw I ever had. Then, after Fiona, the Husky wouldn't start so I bought a MS 250 Stihl and I really like it too. A light weight saw for light duty but for what I needed it was great. I didn't know you were bilingual Kenny. The way you said Husqvarna, totally bilingual if you ask me! Take 'er easy!!
@GrampiesWorkshop I know some Chinese also, but I'm not allowed to say those words on TH-cam. Mike, your ms250, toughest saw on the planet. I have a 5 year old 250 and it's beat to death. Works like day one.

Great to see another video Kenny. I actually have a Husky. I use it to trim limbs around my trees. Talk about overkill. 🤣
@@WanderingMonkHikes over prepared is better than under.
@@OpenAirAdventure very true!
In BC, a fella doesn't have to say much about one saw or another in a bar before a fight breaks out!! People are fiercely loyal to their brands and from what I've seen, it's the same fight that takes place between owners of Ford trucks and Chevy, and the fights that happen in restaurants between the pronunciation of TomAto and TomatO. Lots of chair throwing and cussing and spilled beer and smashed-in faces! Senseless fighting it is....but fun to watch! Huskies and Stihls are both wonderful saws and I've owned them both but have leaned more towards Stihl. No reason for siding with the Stihl really, just that was what was available for the right price when I bought them (only one ever bought new and the rest second or third hand). Great video. Kenny but remember, never talk saws in the bar !! (or tomatoes in a restaurant!). Be safe out there!
@EverydayProjects great advice Craig. I'll zip it shut because I don't have the energy to fight anymore. And I like tomAtoes 🍅

I recently bought the Husq 562 XP Mark II chainsaw. A pain to start sometimes, but it's working well so far. Come in at $1,020 tax in.
@WoodchuckCanuck I think I got burned on the price. That was a bar and two chains, filter and oil, $1000 all in. I want a 562 or 72 so bad. 😩
@@OpenAirAdventure Looks to cut just fine in your video. I also have an older Stihl MS230 and a Milwaukee battery operated unit. They all work ok with a sharp chain.
@WoodchuckCanuck that's true. I have a 5 year old ms250, it's been to hell and back and I'm not exaggerating. It works like a new one.
👍👍👍
I have the cheapest husky canadian tire sold. It works good and then it struggles. Thinking the cheapest i got isn't all husky made. Eventually gonna upgrade
