In this video I review Joe Dante's Gremlins (1984). The film features Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates, Hoyt Axton, Polly Holliday, Frances Lee McCain, Glynn Turman, Keye Luke, Corey Feldman, and John Louie. Howie Mandel does a great job voicing Gizmo. Frank Welker, Peter Cullen, Bob Holt, and Michael Sheehan are some of the great voice actors who also help bring the gremlins to life. This film blen...

This episode, is really wacky i love this review.
Many thanks! And I totally agree, it is one of the stranger episodes of the series. The second and third seasons of the series had several stories that are odd when we consider what was going on in the Spider-Man comics during the same period.
Muy buena estuvo esta película pesadilla en elm street 2 me gustó su video de este film bien explicado y resumido dejo mi like gracias por compartir Saludos desde Argentina viva A Nightmare On Elm Street 2 (1985)

Not really a 'lost' episode seeing as how I saw it this morning.
Hi there, These episodes were not included with the first DVD release of The New Scooby Doo Movies in 2005. From what I've read this was because Warner Home Video could not reach agreements with the guest stars of these episodes at the time. In 2019 they were finally able to release these episodes on 2 DVD sets plus a Blu-ray. The missing episodes were given their own DVD and that is entitled: "The Best of the New Scooby-Doo Movies, The Lost Episodes." So, that is why they are referred to as the "lost" episodes. The New Scooby-Doo Movies: The (Almost) Complete Collection includes all the episodes except for the Addams Family one which is not included in any of these releases.
@BoxOFavez That makes sense. But if the DVDs don't include everything, then I don't want them.
@@DariusKetchum2010 The Addams Family episode is one of the best of the New Scooby-Doo Movies so, it is unfortunate an agreement wasn't reached for that one.
Excellent!
Super!
Many thanks! Glad you liked this.
I enjoyed this... what a great movie for sure.
Many thanks! And yes, I'd say Gremlins should be on a list of the best films from the 1980s.
The Ghost Clown seriously did hsve a Pennywise vibe to him if were being real
I agree, he's definitely not goofy or silly, at least not until the end of the episode. Also, he bears some resemblance to the clown of The Funhouse (1981) and the Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988).
@@BoxOFavez, I always forget Funhouse (1981), but I love Tobe Hooper. So I need to revisit it, but I definitely agree with you about Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
@@AustinTXSlasher Cool, yes, I remember The Funhouse (1981) being an atmospheric horror film. Generally, I found the Ghost Clown to be one of the more menacing villains in SDWAY.
Peace and blessings be upon you and your loved ones. I love your voice. :D
😊Oh many thanks, much appreciated. And I wish you the same.🌅
Agree the best
Thank you for your comment. This episode will definitely be in the top 10 episode video I'm working on for Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!

Have you checked out Scooby Doo and Guess Who?(but as an Gen-X kid , i loved the Don Adams Episode cause i watched Get Smart Reruns in the summers )
Hi there, thanks for your comment. I'm considered a Generation X person too...Being an "80s child" who experienced the entire decade meant I was exposed to 60s and 70s pop culture alongside the large variety of 80s trends. So, yes, I watched Get Smart reruns in the late 80s and really liked the show. I liked The Nude Bomb (1980) too. I think the writing of The Exterminator didn't utilize Don Adams in the ways that would have worked very well. The multiple masks scene was quite funny. I've just started to read about Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? I'm certainly interested in the episodes with fictional guest characters in them. I also think it's cool that they asked Cher, Sandy Duncan, George Takei, Carol Burnett, Weird Al, Wanda Sykes, and Kevin Conroy to do guest spots. Many of the other guests I've never heard of and some of them seem like questionable choices for a show like Scooby-Doo. In any event, I'll definitely check it out.
Mysterios face is a space bootyhole
How is this lost? I remember watching this on tv
Hi there, thanks for the question. These episodes were not included with the first DVD release of The New Scooby Doo Movies in 2005. From what I've read this was because Warner Home Video could not reach rights agreements with the guest stars of these episodes at the time. In 2019 they were finally able to release these episodes on 2 DVD sets plus a Blu-ray. I assume Cher was the villain. What happened when they removed her horrible mask at the end?
Nope, Cher is not the villain but, if they could have created a character for her and wrote a later episode where she sings "Dark Lady" and/or "Hell on Wheels" that would have been an instant classic. And now that you mention it, they probably should have tried having a guest star play a villainous character in a few New Scooby-Doo movies. I'd have loved to see Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Stella Stevens, Joan Collins, or Bette Davis playing a fictional character based off one of their horror roles.
Davy: "I've never sung for frogs before, just Monkees."
That was a great line!
Will put this on my Halloween list next year!
Cool!👍😎

Shikanoko koshitanda
Jerry Dandridge was the coolest vampire ever in this flick.
👍🙂He's definitely one of my favorite movie vampires along with Miriam Blaylock from The Hunger.
Club scene still the best. 😛❤️
😊👍Thanks for your comment...and yes, definitely one of the best parts of the film.
i have that set.
🙂Glad to hear you do too, I think it is a treasure.
@@BoxOFavez the songs and story still hold up i did not care if it was a girls show.
👍I still love the stories and music too! And I think it definitely transcended the stereotypical marketing ploys.
@@BoxOFavez i wish the live jem film embraced the cartoon from what i hear only good things were the camoes from sam britta and christy marx.
I saw the trailer and a few segments awhile ago...it did not seem interesting or inventive to me...I remember thinking-"Nope, no thanks." The original series is still excellent, I agree.
Great video. 11/9/24 SA
Thanks so much!
1:34 The Car won’t go into the cemetery because it’s “hallowed ground”. Blessed ground.
Yes, that added to the mystical good versus evil aspect of the story.
It’s my all time favorite movie
👍Cool! I think it worked with the possessed machine concept very well.
Thank you for giving this a serious review. I've always been curious about it. Too many people dismiss it as just gay porn, but it sounds like a good movie.
Hi there, thank you so much for your comment. I think of "Legend..." as a hidden gem of sorts. The story contains great action, drama, and suspense. I'd also say that the erotica within the film suits the storyline and setting, it isn't out of place. The animation and art generally make this a very watchable anime. Those "Apocalypse" aliens reminded me of the giant robots in Robotech and Voltron.
You are talking so silently I barely can hear you. Second, put more life in it. You were not called to the board by your least favourite teacher. It's your own video! Celebrate it!
A very good film not often talked about but it deserves to be, short and sweet review.
Thank you very much. I think this is one of Lenzi's best films and a unique entry in the genre.
So beautiful
Thank you so much...I love all butterflies but the shades of blue on its wings and body are extraordinary.
Seriously!
Yes, I was amazed because the hoverflies don't usually visit this flower. I love how similar to a hummingbird the movements of this hoverfly were. It moved very quickly which I meant I had to film it twice before it slowed down a little.
Don't get much deer in your area, eh? Good. They're a menace up here.
Squirrels are the menace of my particular area. They are like a wrecking crew taking down sunflowers every year, digging in flower pots, and make a mess in general. We try to discourage them but they return to the garden eventually. At the end of the growing season I don't mind if they eat fallen seeds.
Gosh, I remember my older siblings going to this and talking about how terrifying it was.
Thank you for your comment, I totally agree with them. I saw Black Christmas for the first time when I was 12 and I could not sleep that night at all. It is one of those horror movies that encourages you to turn on the lights before entering a dark room or look behind you while walking home at night.
@@BoxOFavez exactly! This was just before those later movie tropes, showing "killer is calling from inside". Then that Halloween type genre exploded
@@myswanktrendz Yes! The Sitter (1977) and When a Stranger Calls (1979) used that idea effectively. I'd say When a Stranger Calls Back (1993) is a bit more frightening than its predecessors but not as intense as Black Christmas. For me it is the fact that "Billy" is hiding in the house for days that makes it more terrifying.
@BoxOFavez Are you Canadian? I've only ever heard Canadian cinophiles make these connections. Same chat re: an Eugene Levy (and Andrea) horror flick that came out in early 70s. Involved a creepy Inn, lusty side gals, cannibalism, etc.
@@myswanktrendz Yes, I'm Canadian...and it's cool that other Canadian film fans are making those connections. The early 70s was certainly an odd time for Canadian cinema. BC was one example that worked out very well.
Afaik, djinns are not like demons - they exist on a different plane of reality, but like humans are neutral beings.
Thanks for your comment. My observation is that in the context of the film the djinn seems to be aligned with the repression Shideh faces outside of her home.
@@BoxOFavez they should have used some other islamic malevolent spectral entity instead of the djinn then. There is no shortage of such beings in Islam.
John Gavin was 1 handsome guy.
Yes, he certainly should be on a top ten list of very handsome actors from that era like Rock Hudson, Jeff Chandler, Tab Hunter, and Marlon Brando.
One of my top 10 rewatches every year!
Yes! It's great to watch again at this time of year in particular, thanks for your comment!
Is it the slim version or the thicker one?
Thanks for your question, it is the Mini, which seems a bit thicker, if you mean the pen. As for the Trapper Keeper it is slim but holds a fair amount of paper.
Lil dude was spotted
I noticed some movement while looking at the stems of the coleus and this character just bolted. They are so fast and agile.
😮😅😅❤❤❤❤
This is hilarious. I watched Miami Vice on NBC in.the 80s. 2007 there was mayber half a dozen videos on TH-cam with short clips. Now there is this big obsession... What for!?
Thanks for your comment. Since Miami Vice was appealing to a variety of viewers when it first came out it has become popular again probably for several reasons. I'd say there is nostalgia, the series is perhaps more widely available than before, the resurgence of 80s style, and maybe the general discontent with current television series. I'm so glad Miami Vice is being revisited it brought a stronger cinematic sensibility to network television. Color, sound, and lighting reinforced the themes of the show in a vivid dynamic way. Also, it blended fantasy and gritty realism which I think is difficult to pull off. So, that's my take on this comeback.
He's so sleepy❣️🌼🐝
Thank you and yes, I was thinking the honeybee was going to rest in the center of the flower. These calendulas usually close up their petals when the sun is gone. I've seen bees and flies rest inside them for a while, it's so cool.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you very much! I love these salvias too.
Wow
Thank you very much! I was so glad I got to see this cool hoverfly visiting the asters.
I used to watch the show and enjoyed all of the episodes. Thanks for putting them out.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! Back in the early 2000s I had only read about the show and when it came out on DVD I bought it right away. So glad I did and thought it definitely deserved a DVD review.
I’ve never seen this show, definitely interesting to watch this review
Oh thank you very much, good to know. I'd say the Inhumanoids cartoon was perhaps ahead of its time in some ways. I'm working on the next part of this review.
Very cute video tfs see you soon ❤
Thank you, glad you enjoyed this short video.🙂
