UNTITLED (1974)
In the past couple of years I've had a modicum of success in the Film Festival circuit with this film: th-cam.com/video/bNunUI3jzY4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jvfN_PGeRyjz3cPL
But that wasn't the case in the 1970s. So this was a satire of both the film festival world and my own overheated ambitions.

I'LL SAY SHE IS (1973)

In my senior year of High School the new, neophyte drama teacher enlisted several of us to create a promotional film for the school's new "Career Resource Center" a place to help kids figure out what they wanted to be when they grow up. Little did this petite drama teacher know that she had empowered a bunch of wise guys. The result, from the early 1970s is as cynical as anything GenZ could eve...
Galatea Wears Army Shoes (1975)
มุมมอง 228 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is another of the five required Super 8 films we had to make in Cinema 290 at USC. If you're not aware of Galatea, google her. Though technically rough (especially in this transfer) I'd hold its humor up against skits on SNL. It still makes me laugh anyway.
The Matthew P. Ventimiglia Story (1975)
มุมมอง 958 หลายเดือนก่อน
This was my most ambitious Super 8 film. It wryly depicts the life of a science fiction fan in the early 1970s, (before Luke Skywalker changed the universe) loosely based on the persona of a friend of mine. Visual effects techniques include: double exposures, front and rear projection, foreground miniatures, glass shots and more!
The Freeway 1975
มุมมอง 258 หลายเดือนก่อน
This was my first student film in the Cinema 290 production class at USC Cinema in 1975. Content and technique is actually fairly sophisticated for Super 8. It went over well with the professors. But I don't think it ever had a soundtrack. (That may have been a requirement of the course for the first film.) So I added a soundtrack that seems appropriate.

Ever since our Dad got a Super 8 movie camera in 1967 my siblings and I used it to amuse ourselves making silly little movies. In 1983 we were all grown up and moved away from home, but annually converged at the family homestead in Colorado Springs for Christmas vacation. MaxPaul Franklin, my film making mentor had long been subjected to our Super 8 madness. That year he told me why not make ou...

Aproximately six weeks and over 240 hours of labor resulted in the version seen on the right in this demo. This film was originally photographed on 16mm Ektachrome Commercial film. Look Guys, This is Zak…the Mayor Fun Town! (😏 0:03 )
Thank you for this hi-res version of this wonderful film ... Ever since it was replaced by the Little Mermaid ride, I have missed seeing the One Dream montage finale. I can now relive those memories from the opening days of DCA.
Très beau travail qui permettra aux plus jeune de voir le show même aujourd'hui ! Bravo
what a wild time lol
Thank you very much for posting these. I've been trying to remember to remember these intros for years since they aired in the 90s. Which of the three intros is your favorite and why? My favorite is the Weekend one cause it's one big pic going down instead of changing to another part and it has the most crazy stuff in it.
Yes the vertical one is pretty fun...but it doesn't work with the trick of putting your sunglasses over the left eye and being able to view it in 3D like the other two.
@ Ok, out the three intros which is your favorite and why?
@@Zim999 Sorry, I love all my children.
@ I understand, it’s hard to pick out of all 3. What did you design for all 3 intros besides Zak?
I also did about 60% of the airbrushed art. The rest was either stock art or done by Lalo Schifrin’s daughter who was working with us.
I clicked on this for WOZ ;) all I saw was the end... did you do any Oz work? What were the Peter Pan and Snow White clips from? Is that one of the Disney overseas parks? The Prince was lifting her, and the other there were some scenes from PP that I didn't recognize :)
@@StoryMemories86 The Oz clip is from Cinemagique (also on this channel) where we obtained access to the original painting and I got to format it, clean it up and add the missing effects animation. It was a thrill. I did video effects for Peter Pan in Anaheim, Paris, and Tokyo. The Snow White stuff is from the castle walk thru in Shanghai.
This is a fun ride! I’m surprised a lot of people don’t like it because of being closed in a small room!
i hate sad ending :D
Can you reupload another version of this without the recorded scenes? That is if you have it.
What a good CGI Gr(e/a)y Peanut-loving poochie
I watched that story, while I was at Disneyland years ago!
If Steve comes back for the 70th, y’all owe me park tickets
didn't Zak have a show at some point that became lost media
Ursula actually got tickled by the elephantdog
Shep is half elephant and half dog
THANK YOU!!! I have watched blurry versions so many times. This is fantastic. I can’t count how many times I went on this ride and loved the ending song and montage. My 9 year old granddaughter heard the song on my playlist today and rated it an 8! She gave Pink Floyd and the Stones a 0, so I was so happy she loves the One Dream song. I will show her the video soon! I agree with that comment that it should be on Disney Plus. I am so excited to share this with friends. Thanks again!
How did those people get out of the screen with the door it’s so magical.
This was like a buried memory for me, I remember this both freaking me out and blowing my mind

I was in grade school when I first saw this commercial. I remembered it for many years. When I first became aware of TH-cam in 2007, this was one of the first videos I sought and found (someone else's post). I spent many hours that year searching for images from the '70s & '80s. Thank you for saving and sharing your copy!
These are beautiful! Thank you for sharing them. They look and sound great!
Honey we shrunk ourselves is came out March 18th,1997!
Taken From Disney
That's good.
I hate getting up close with scary-looking bugs! If I were shrunken and came face to face with any scary bug like a roach, I would've screamed nonstop like a little girl for 15 minutes! I hope this doesn't take away my good night's sleep...
This scared me probably more than the scorpion scene from the 1st movie 😮
A friend of mine did the scorpion in Honey 1. I won’t tell him what you said. 🤫😁

Thank you for uploading an excellent print of the film for posterity! All the best from the UK :) viva California

nice job
