Raptor it's all good but I've heard too many stories about people taking cred for bringing up tims and its just not true to history. I remember that pair I ordered directly through timberland costs me $75 for them boots and like $3 for shipping. We had a local shop sold timberlands and I already had the tim brown low moccasins with vibram soles and they was slick but those premium boots was the shit and we knew it. It was like 4 of us in my jr high crew had that look going. It was a straight preppy thing. Eventually the local shop got the butters in stock and before long everyone in Towson had em! Then spread like fashion do!! Eventually to ny, DC etc...but not till 80s basically almost 10 years later. But them boots still an American icon 50 years later. They're that good!!
