A link to the USB Hub:

But, I am sure that other USB C hubs will work as well.

Dude, you're awesome! This was the very first video I watched on this subject, and you nailed it. When you pulled out the USB hub, I thought to myself, "I think that's the same one that I have!" Sure enough, it's the exact same one, and it works like a charm! Thanks for the great video!
Thank you, man. I got it to work with my Baseus USB Hub
Question: Did you put your battery when your charging?
Great video, Thank you .
Thank you, man. You saved me a lot of experimentation.
So the cheaper chargers, have their own proprietary circuitry for power / fast charging. The hub acts as a power delivery handshake and takes any power input from the type c connector. Super handy trick, I'll keep that in mind if I need to use power delivery for fast charging and don't have a PD charger and I"ll check out the power draw.
I found 2 phone chargers that work: Samsung 25w (EP-TA800) and the older Motorola Turbo Power 15 (the one that comes with MOTO G phone) both cost more and less the same, so the Samsung 25w should the best option even better if you have any Samsung phone like my case.
Hi i got to charge my m6 mark ii with my samsung s21 ultra charger. But the light just stays orange. Does yours really fully charge and show green light when charged with usb?
Is light blinking when its on charging?
constant orange is good. Blinking orange means there's something wrong with the charging/battery.
Thank you so much
without battery. can you use the camera with just the USB C plugged in?
I use a USB cable from my LG 27" that has power delivery and it works. Thank you!
Hello great video first of all I want to start a travel blog soon should I choose this camera or the canon EOS M50 Mark 2 for that? Which is better in battery life and travelling in general
M6ii is better overall, but also for vlogging the tilt screen is better than the flip out screen.
iam using m6 mark1 but its not support usb charging by samsung bricks 5v 2a ,and oneplus bricks 5v 6a,is it true that m6mark1 havent support usb charging because i was just purchase it 😥
In all cases, no matter the charger it will only get power when the camera is OFF correct? That is what I am looking for. Would be nice to upgrade my M50 to the M6 and be able to use a USB cable to give me continua power without a dummy battery, that way I do not have to change the battery when I go from streaming at my desk to shooting on the go.
so how do u know the battery is fully charge?
This is so dumb. I can't just plug it into a regular brick. Why cannon?
Your channel is underatted! What a powerful and useful hack. Thanks, you've just got a new sub!
Thank !
Good tip if you have those laying around if not you can buy a power delivery charger at Walmart for $18 or Anker PD charger 2 pack at Costco for $30
Great hack! Now I wonder if there are even smaller adapters that work?
One of my reason to buy M6 II was to charge via USB (deticated by Canon in this II version). Finally it is unpossible but possible....Why Canon complicates my life...
btw - take care to charge via USB HUB - this way of charging destroyed my old Macbook (!)
can canon m6 mark 1 charge via samsung old 5v 2a usb cable ?
Try any powerbank with PD (9V2A,12V1.5) usb c -usb c cable and will work flawlessly , that's what I am using on my m6 mark ii
Good video! Your setup reminds me of Digital Digest channel-which is a good thing.
Good luck with your channel... Eos M6 mkii owner...subbed.
Can I charge canon M50 mark ii using USB c to normal USB adapter?
How can I tell if it is charging? I can't quite make it out in the video but does that tiny little light to the upper right of the menu button need to turn on a stay on? Is it a red light when charging? Also, does the charger need to have a minimum wattage? I have an 18 watt PD charger that I use for my phone (it also says 5V/3A). Is that enough power or do I need a 65 watt charger. When I plug it in, I don't see a light, but I don't know if this is the charger or another factor (such as the generic Neewer batteries I am using or the USB C cable).
orange light will indicate if it is charging , if no orange light then it is not charging . i use a powerbank with PD (9V2A,12V1.5) usb c -usb c cable and will work flawlessly.... for reference ,, my powerbank models : GOUI Vectra Capacity 7000mAh & GOUI Vogue Capacity 10200mAh, both are working fine when using type c to type c cable . .. ONLY USB C -USB C CABLE WILL WORK .
It may hard battery or camera internal part because we are not using specified current ?⚡
Canon says "Charger need support PowerDelivery standard", so USB Hub just has convertor inside, and can create more Watts from incoming electricity. There is no problems, charger just need supports PowerDelivery, thats it, ... but why Canon do this ... I think they just want sale their expensive chargers, that's it. (I'm Canon M6 MK2 owner too, so it's just my personal opinion =) )
try GOUI Vectra Capacity 7000mAh & GOUI Vogue Capacity 10200mAh, both are working fine when using type c to type c cable . .. ONLY USB C -USB C CABLE WILL WORK . i am using this setup on my m6 mark 2
Thanks for info
Hi, nice video!. I have a question. Can I record video while charging the camera through USB C?
Yes you definitely can. You have to be careful to use a charger that can supply enough power, otherwise it will still drain the battery.
@@serhiyhorbach thanks
@@Cube69619 the m6 mark ii has type c input
Very informative! 👏
