The Joola Infinity Overdrive is the fastest and spinniest bat from the Infinity line. But just how well does it compare with the custom equipment we are used to? In this review, I test the bat in all areas and share which players it is best suited for. And who should avoid it.

FAQs
Q "Is it possible to change the rubbers on this paddle?"
A. We do not believe so. JOOLA does not state if the rubbers are removable, but most inexpensive preassembled paddles use permanent glue as opposed to table tennis glue. And we are almost certain this is the case with the Infinity Overdrive.
Q. "What is the net weight?"
A. 190g.
Q. "Can this be ordered with one red and one black side?"
A. Yes, you can purchase the Infinity Overdrive with red and black rubbers with either a red or yellow-themed handle.
Q. "Is this racket approved to play in tournaments?
A. Yes. The rubbers are ITTF approved so you can compete using this paddle.
Q, "Is black on both sides allowed?"
A. If you wish to compete at regulated events you cannot use a bat with two black rubbers. However, for casual play two blacks rubbers are fine.

    True, it does look like it lacks spin but that speed is insane for the price! How's the contact feel when the bat strikes the ball? Good wooden blades feel absolutely divine, but I have my doubts with how a budget carbon bat would fare in comparison

    I just ordered this bat with red and black rubbers and the photo of the rubbers shows the ITTF logo on the both sides. You stated in your video that your two black rubbers were missing the ITTF logo. Curious.

    • @SR1Records
      @SR1Records ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the bat that has black on both sides isn't ITTF compliant because the bat needs to be black on one side and another colour on the other side to meet ITTF rules.

    • @penguins0392
      @penguins0392 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @markwexy1621
      @markwexy1621 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@penguins0392both red and black rubbers and blade are in fact ITTF approved. Now I've had my Joola Infinity Edge with black and red rubbers for 5 months. I can say it is by far the greatest value paddle I have ever owned or sampled. I am a 1600 level player and my MUCH more expensive match rackets play nearly identical to the Butterfly Viscaria blades with Tenergy 05 rubbers. So my match rackets are considerably more powerful than the Infinity, but that is where the advantage ends. My Infinity Edge has just as good spin and feel, which is very important. My Infinity offers much more control because it is slower. But it is not too slow. And it has many gears of speed as I swing harder. I really enjoy playing with it because it affords me the opportunity to really swing with full motion. Two other players at my club were so impressed with it that they now use it as their regular setup. Bottom line is it's a great paddle for all levels, even beginners. The fact that it has carbon shouldn't dissuade a beginner. And that's because in spite of having carbon, it still has tremendous feel and is not too fast. This makes it the perfect paddle for just about anyone. The only reason I use the other two rackets as my match setups, is because I'm playing against 1700-1900 level players. When I hit with them, I need the advantage of more speed. On the other hand, my consistency is sacrificed a bit. But still I prefer the speed when it comes to playing players who are that much better than me.

  • @thirtyonefifty3133
    @thirtyonefifty3133 ปีที่แล้ว

    I bought both the overdrive and balance as a player who never payed ping pong 3 weeks ago. With a combined 6 hours of play time so far, I can say I'd prefer the overdrive specifically because the control doesn't feel any different compared to the overdrive. I do have to say that I do have about 2 years of tennis experience so it plays into learning what to do and what not to do easier than people who never played both sports. That being said, I no where near your level of playing at all, and can only speak from my experience. Playing with overdrive paddle and comparing to other sitga line, I think the overdrive is a happy medium of feeling like a normal paddle (heavy imo), but also providing all the spin, power, and control of a high end light blade. In addtion, its cheaper and more affordable that some others haha.
