Awesome selection of games as usual! Blur is my favorite racing game by far for the PS3! Glad I randomly found it in a Thrift Store 2 years ago!
Yeah it’s phenomenal, check out split second on ps3 if you like your racers as well
Helldivers 2 MVG ^_^
Nahh Mr Coyle
You look like Cooltoy.
Or does he look like me?
For me the lagging on Snes games are really a huge bummer. It doesn't really matter when you play an RPG but something like Donkey Kong or Ninja Gaiden trilogy is just not fun. There is also some minor sound lag on PS1 and Saturn (12-15 frames). I know some people might say it's an emulator, BUT, for the price tag I'm sorry but I am expecting top quality. So for me as it is now this console is a 4/10. I'm sorry I really want to love that console and I hope patches will fix it.
It’s interesting hearing other people’s experiences with the console. I haven’t experienced any of those issues but yet I HAVE experienced crashing and freezing of games which others haven’t. So far the new update has def smoothed some of the issues I have had so far
@@den_den_boys Interesting indeed because on my side the console only crashed once and it's when I tried to upload Metal Gear Solid Disc 2. In any case it just prove the point that this console was not ready for mass production. Great concept , beautiful user friendly Interface, passionate community behind it but it's still ruff performance wise.
If people call a game a hidden gem for a decade it's no longer a hidden gem.
Of course they can be. So many games out there that are awesome but aren’t on people’s best games lists, or obvious picks.
It’s a great system I’ve had mine for a year and absolutely love it (once you install all your games😂), but having all my games at a click of a button priceless. And also saves wear and tear on my games and consoles👍🏻🍺😂.
Yeah agree that was one of the big factors in me purchasing mine. Also when I have a sesh with Vaughan and he brings something rare that I don’t own… well now I have it as well
Review botw that’s a real gem >.>
But not hidden. Everyone knows how good that game is
Controller and dongle are awful quality
I’m not too bothered by the control personally, but I definitely only play on wired mode. The module controls are quite good
I think it a great idea and a great front end but the games just have issues especially n64
Don’t own the N64 module yet. Have heard it’s not working well atm. People are putting a lot of hope into the next update helping
did i miss how large the hard drive is? this is a great video. thank you
that was funny. you talked about storage right after i posted this. maybe i should have waited lol
All good 👍
Thanks for watching hope the vid helps
I have been waiting to hear your thoughts on this. I have been on the fence with picking one up but you have actually allowed me to make an objective decision NOT to get it. There are too many caviots, especially when you consider the price with the modules. I think for now I will stick with Analogue products. Although, the release of Analogue console platforms right now is not what I want. I want a Dreamcast and Saturn Analogue Console. Keep up the great content dude.
Glad it helped. It’s a lot of money to spend not fully understanding the product. I am bummed that I didn’t mention features like downloading translation patches for Japanese games as well as the ability to play burnt games.
First one!!!
Hi, i like your intro, you guys should have more subs!
Agreed!
Appreciate that! We’re trying our best to put out good content. Glad you’re digging it.
Thanks all
First comment, oh yeah! 😊. Love the videos, just noticed after watching a few of your videos it’s a bit hard to hear you both review the games. The background game audio is louder and overshadows you both.
Thanks dude appreciate you checking out the channel. Thanks for feedback I’m a real amateur at editing 😬
Wait do u go to my school
nahhhhhhh MR COYLE
Ima girl I graduated from the school
i need to go a bit more far out next time i go
Always a good tip to get out of the major cities a bit less pricey and more gems to be had
Love the intro music!
Great review guys. Yeah this company makes difficult games but it’s what I like about them. They want us to put in the time and learn the intricacies of the move sets and eventually be able to complete the game without dying. Cant wait to try this out! Great job guys!
Thanks for checking out review. Don’t get us wrong we love difficulty too but felt the gameplay was a little clunky. Maybe after some more play it will feel more natural
It's pretty funny I played this game as a kid in France, I would have never imagined some people in America finding about it 20 years after and having fun with it
Seems to have a real strong following/love in France. Kinda feels the same as Mysterious cities of gold or other anime/cartoon series
OH GOSH I THINK YOU MAY BE REFERRING TO AUD NOT USD LOL. PLEASE EXCUSE ME FOR BEING RUDE!!
All good no offense taken
You said "59 dollars for Shububi Man" even though 5980 Yen actually equals 41.50 USD 😅 I dont understand how you didn't convert it properly seeing as how it appears you were living in Japan at the time🤔?
Yeah in comparison to AUD. We are about even with the yen or a little under
I really feel a lot of people miss the point of Super Potato and why they charge more. They normally just have everything, so if I'm traveling and only have like 4 days it doesn't make sense to spend a whole day traveling and going to 3-4 that may or may not have what you have. That's why I don't understand comparing the stores to Super Potato.. also you go to Mandrake if you really care about condition/rares stuff. Which is why they cost so much.
Yeah you’re right. Super potato and mandarake are the places to go if you’re looking for rare pieces and don’t mind the cost. More than likely you find it there
whoa thats pretty dynamic for a ps1 game, didnt know this existed
It’s a real bona fide hidden gem
KIRIKOU HAD A GAME????????????????????????????????' WHAT
Haha yep that’s what we thought too
Didn't even know there was a game for this. I watched the film and the sequels a number of years ago when I was really interested in animation.
I barely remember the film but I remember the fetishes being quite creepy.
We didn’t know about it either, really want to check out the anime movie because of the game
Have to say this is my most disappointing of all the games ive had on the master system. After playing wonderboy in monsterland I was over the moon when I saw this in a magazine in the late 80s. I saved to buy it and was gutted because compared to monsterland it was 💩 😂
Blasphemy 😆 I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say wonderboy 3 is bad
One thing to remember, though: The Japanese YEN in 2024 is REALLY weakened against the USD. So Captain Lang at ¥30,000 is actually NOT $300… but closer to $200 USD… still pricey, but I think it must be said, that the games may be tagged as such to adjust for the weaker Yen.
Yeah that’s an interesting point. Def could be a factor in the price rise. Unfortunately for us Aussies whilst the yen is the best we’ve seen in a long time it’s still pretty much dollar for dollar equality
@@den_den_boys oh! You meant Aussie dollars with those conversions in your head. I see, I see… ☺️
Condolences to you for your mum. Thanks for making this video, and it helped because I’ll be there in 3 weeks, and this was definitely a branch I was looking to hit. As I watched your video, and saw the prices, some things other than “freak Nagoya pricing” did strike me however: 1. In 2024, the Japanese Yen is considerably weaker, so ¥8770 for Outrun on PCE with the case, doesn’t equate to $87.70 USD any more as it did in our heads 5-10 years ago. It’s now $56.00… meaning, it may have been adjusted with the weaker yen. 2. Maybe the prices are higher too, because they’re becoming scarce in the wild, against foreigners buying up the stock, and Japanese sellers selling their wares online. 3. Super potato in Nagoya isn’t exactly located in a haven for the second hand market, so perhaps (my guess) is that locals who sell them to Super Potato are much fewer than those who live in other regions in Japan, and any collectors who reside here may be even fewer now (not that the hobby has declined, but the buyers left in Japan), with only “big-spending” foreigners now emerging to say “yes” to the high prices. You’re definitely not one of those “gougers” coming in with literal crates, dumping games in, heading to the cashier and just set to hoard. Your videos never reflect that about you. But there ARE those types now, and that Polymega in the display cabinet is a prime example, perhaps, of Super Potato displaying it at a price they hope deters buyers, because they aren’t actually wanting to sell it. These are just my guesses.
Some very interesting comments 1. Absolutely the yen is weaker and could be a factor. Unfortunately doesn’t help me with our weak Aussie dollar as well. 2.your right def Japan is being pillaged by resellers and scalpers which again hurts genuine collectors like ourselves. 3. I was hoping for the opposite in the Nagoya being a little less western attractive might bring the prices down compared to the likes of Tokyo. But wasn’t to be. Thanks so much for watching and appreciate the kind words.
Just stumbled across your channel mate. Seem like a legend. Hope you enjoyed your trip through Japan. I’m off for my first time in a months time. Can’t wait. Cheers from Sydney. 🍺

Absolute rad room. I had pause during the Mega Drive and Master System sections. Can't believe you have three copies of Phantasy Star II Vaughn 🤣
I’m still blown away when I go into Vaughan’s room. The amount of stuff that’s still not on the shelves is crazy. Stay tuned for the next tour
Great tribute to your mum. I am sure she is watching from up there and smiling at all your adventures. Super Potato prices are jacked. Luckily there other stores to find some deals.
Thanks mate. Yeah potato was disappointing but don’t worry I still bought a ton of stuff elsewhere
Rad.. too bad its too spenny
Great choices on those PC engine games. Image Fight has been a huge favourite of mine ever since I saw bithead1000 recommend it. It's a very addicting shoot em up you just want to keep on playing.
Was very impressed with image fight. Anything Irem does is great.
Go Cats! condolences about your mum too. loved the video hope you had a great trip
Thank you mate appreciate it. Hope you enjoyed the vid
Cheers
I see NEO GEO !! 3:50 🦾
There was some sneaky neo geo there for sure
Have been meaning to check this game out.
Why was no purple PS2 released in the States 😢
Known as the Sakura edition so prob Japan only for that reason. So many variants Japan got the rest of us missed out on
Hey mate thanks for this, fantastic content!
Awesome glad you dug it
@@den_den_boys went to a trip there in Tokyo last week got some stuff in Akihabara and will plan to go to Nagoya in the future so a good peek in some retro gaming stores there, great stuff.
Nice Video ! Sub & Big Like ! Love Retro Games !
Hey thanks glad you dig the video and thanks so much for sub
@@den_den_boys Thank you for your reply ! If you are interested in the nostalgic game culture of Japan, please subscribe to the my channel !
Wow, that's some great PC engine games! So hard to find them now over there!
For the right price yeah.
Do you resell
Me I’m a collector Mitch does
Need to pan slower. Your camera doesn’t focus fast so everything is blurry AF.
Awesome man love your videos great pick ups dude. Legend
Thanks dude appreciate the kind words
Thats for the shoutout, man! Glad to see how your trip went down in a video! Cool pickups! Sparkster is a beautiful game! Also, I'm tempted to get that Sharp SFC TV... would definitely be a holy grail pickup!
No worries dude. Hopefully we can do it together some time. You’d be crazy not to pickup that tv. I would if I could
Well, one thing is for sure. You got a great taste in games, man! That Gekisha Boy is such an awesome game. Not sure what that Fish game is. Gotta look it up!
Gekisha boy is an all time great
What was the best store out of the bunch please?
Definitely the store near kyo-wa station
You're lucky to have a good friend to share your passion.
It’s the best
Hello the second shop where is it? Near the first stop?
No second shop was near kyo-wa station outside Nagoya. 2 shops in close proximity there. First was was in Handa which took 30 mins by train then 30 min walk.
Great video! Always wanted to go to Japan, always loved retro games since My year 2 teacher introduced me to them with things like super Mario world and Monkey ball, Good luck on your adventures!
Ah Hugh very wise man to have introduced you to such classics 😉
