Also, did straight from battery the top of the plug
Did it many times straight from the battery right into the top of the distributor?
good job
Thank you!

Great work! I am rebuilding a 47 plymouth coupe
Awesome! And thank you.
😮. Awesome 👏
Thank you kind sir.
Where's your eye protection ???
I assume you are referring to welding? Because I am overly crazy about safety glasses, but for welding I am good. Just shield my eyes and tack away. lol.
Did you weld the supports on? Are they plug welds or just stitched? I am loking to do this on my truck in the next few months.
Sweet. Yes they are spot welded.
@RedneckEntrepreneur Wow!!!!!! I am inspired by your awesome professional detailed super GOOD work!!!!! I got my 50' body off on some A Frame jacks... I am trying to clean up underneath... it would be sooo much more easier with a rotisserie holder... I have the car at my Dad mechanic shop... He can weld some but I wish I could get good at welding as well... and do it like you too ✌😇🙏
Thank you so much for the nice words. Just keep at it my friend. Welding is just practice and time under the hood. You’ve got this! Sounds like an awesome build.
@@redneckentrepreneur212 Thank you Brother in the old classic car hard workers crew ✌😇🔧🔩🧰
Great stuff here......and courageous (and quality), work to repair this neat old car. I have a 48 Plymouth 2 door sedan, purchased back in the mid 90's. It was a complete car and running, but not road worthy, but amazingly rust free for a 40's vintage car in the north east of Canada. The car must not have ever been driven in winter. Only a couple rust spots at the lower back of the rear fenders, as usual for these cars. I'm not a mechanic but was very fortunate to find an older man in 2010 who was specialized in these older models of Plymouth's and had worked on many. He did a two and a half year rebuild of the car, not a body off restoration as that was not necessary, but everything striped out otherwise. Had the interior done to original specs by a specialist and the only thing I was able to do was the wood graining for the dash and window garnishes and other small details. The repaint was done base coat - clear coat in Caribbean blue (very close to an original Ply colour. All chrome replated and stainless smoothed and polished, Cocker white wall radials (bias look-alikes) and the car still runs and looks great after 12+ years since the restoration.
That is amazing! Thank you for sharing. I always love to hear about classics that are treated right. And I love the two doors.
Would you happen to know the part # or name of those rear supports that you said were on back order ? Tried looking them up and no luck
I do not. Parts was sourcing all that. Sorry.
How did you wire this bed up I just put one on my truck and can’t seem to find a harness
So to be perfectly honest I 100% don’t remember. Pretty sure the 2010 was old enough I could go off the trailer harness without popping a code like the new ones. The newer ones you either have to tap into the light harness or get an adapter harness like from duramag. The older ones you can tap the trailer wiring and not get the “trailer connected” code.
Awesome I appreciate it a lot I will look into those options I’m working with a 12

Thank you sir! And happy new year to you! 🎉
Merry Christmas
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too brother. And happy new year!
Did you use the OEM tail light harness to wire them up?
Sort of. Factory to the back, I added a weather pack connector and new bed harness from there. So it’s only factory to just behind the spare.
I want a bucket now

You are so kind. Thank you so much. God bless you as well my friend.
Make a dry cell using graphite sheets, much safer. Also with a flash arrester to prevent that
bummer thanks for sharing.
Use sch 40 PVC. Should stay in one piece even if boom. Nice thing you can do also is machine a nice pop off cap, that's also a quick fill up cap, that's assuming you don't build pressure inside it. ( not recommanded anyway. ) 6 cells is a good design, cause it's the only way to avoid current leaks ( drycell do leak, current and fluids )
I almost did use pvc, but there was a very specific point to my budget and it didn’t fit. The follow up build will be the no holds barred, highest mileage gain, no budget build. lol. And you can guarantee I will be putting a blowoff in. lol
I blew up a very expensive K&N air filter in a dodge once. The gas built up for some unknown reason and eventually just blew inside the intake. it shredded the top of the filter and really made a nice boom. I think it was a little cool that morning and I should have waited until I got her warmed up and moving before I put it on. I had a bubbler and an external unit that was never harmed but it basically made a bomb out of my intake. LOL
Awesome! Not really but totally awesome. 🤣
